We were staying a short walk away so decided to get some take away one night during the school holidays. It's a small establishment with a few dining tables outside under cover but most people seemed to take away. The owner was friendly enough when answering the questions about my dietary requirements. It took about half an hour for our meals to be ready, the two cooks were constantly busy and the owner also chipped in by preparing entrees and being a waiter.

Our meals (vegetables, noodles, chicken) were nice enough but not outstanding. The dishes could have been spicier too.

Be prepared to be turned away when the sign goes up saying no more orders taken - this occurred before 7pm the night we ordered.

Thank Melanie T

Despite the number of unfavourable reviews we enjoyed some of the best Thai food I have had in many years.
Our host was very polite in advising us up front that his partner was the only one in the kitchen and that all food was prepared fresh. Well the spring rolls and fish cakes were magnificent, followed by a superb Penang curry and Pat Thai noodles and all this in under one hour.
This is the reason they have been here for some seventeen years!
Unfortunately some walkun patrons were turned away as they were running out of freshly prepared food.
There were also a lot of takeaway orders picked up that night.
Having operated a food business for a number of years in regional Queensland we fully appreciated their dilemma about the amount of food required for "walk in" customers.
So if you appreciate real Thai food then book beforehand, be patient, take
"chill pill" and like us enjoy the fact that you are probably on holidays so what's the rush!

We found a limited number of restaurants at Agnes Water open for dinner, so as we love Thai food, we were pleased to find Yok Attack open. We were told we might have to wait awhile as small establishment and lots of takeaway orders. We were happy to have a drink BYO and listen to the wok being stirred! The food was excellent and servings very filling. The owner added some conversation and colour to the evening. We've eaten Thai in many places and this was as good as any.

If you call being politely told, that the establishment does not serve Indonesian food and only what's on the menu, absolutely the worst experience you have ever had, one wonders about the future of the human race. I did direct you to the takeaway shop a few shops down and I'm glad you enjoyed your pizza. TripAdvisor the majority of reviews about Yok Attack are much the same as the above, ie , were turned away as place was full or too many takeaway orders, food on menu not suitable to their taste. It's not really in the spirit of TripAdvisor to publish reviews, when the reviewer never tasted the food or experienced the service after ordering the food.

We had yummy food here and altho small and not many tables the quality of Yok's cooking is absolutely delicious. The couple George and Yok who run this cafe were lovely. Definitely do not miss here.
