Almaran is a very cool place! My friend and I have booked a sea view double room in this B&B. The room was very large, with a big window and a beautiful sea view. We liked so much, the room was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean, we loved it! We could use a free wifi connection and air condition too. The location is the best! You are very close to the city center, the ferry port, moreover the bus stop for the historical places and the airport are close to it. The beach is very near and the sea was amazing!! Antonio, the host, is very friendly and helpful for all our needs. We highly recommend it. We hope to come back to Almaran again.

we booked a sea view and got a room 2 streets away from Almaran B & B with a small window and steel bars and a concrete wall to look at, we asked about the sea view but were told there was not one and the owner said hostel bookers new this. there was no wifi and the room was dirty the shower was disgusting, we have complained to hostel bookers but had no reply we took pictures to prove how bad it was also the towels only changed twice in 7 days and no toiletries where provided.

When people sleeping until 2,00 PM don't allow cleaning staff to come inside room and then cleaning staff have to go away after 4 hours waiting for....it's very hard to be quite reading that horrible review with those very professional photos, compliments ! I can also understand it is nice to spend nights in close Bar & B&B drinking beers and talking how to take other reputation down ! Many others guests appreciate us. Thanks you for your hostility, some time people don't like each others !

Almaran got quality rooms with reliable wifi connection and excellent air condition. The location is excellent, near to the beach and to the most vibrant parts of old town. Host Antonio is gentle and kind.

Almaran is positioned opposite the ferry port within easy distance of the old town and the bus and train station. Buses to the airport and other main destinations stop at the ferry port only 100 metres away. The area is like a small community of residences, restaurants, cafes, ice cream shop, web cafe, taxi firm, bar, supermarket and bakery all within a radius of 30-40metres. The people are extremely friendly and helpful and I felt like I had joined, albeit temporarily, a small community of Sicilians.

Antonio, the owner of the Almaran, organised a taxi from the airport as we arrived very late, and was there to meet us. He gave us some excellent advice on where to pick up buses, how to best travel around, eat out, and interesting places of interest, marking them on a map. He introduced us to a local restaurant owner and he even gave us a lift to the cable car terminal to Erice, although obviously you must not expect this level of service. Antonio has a genuine desire to ensure his guest enjoy their time in Trapani and Sicily and his advice is welcome and accurate.

The rooms - between us we had two doubles and a single with own shower room - were clean and tidy on arrival and cleaned regularly. Two rooms had balconies where you could watch the comings and goings of the port at the end of the street. All our rooms have the usual shutters which help to reduce the inevitable, but not excessive, street noise that you find anywhere in cities around the world. Wi Fi is free and of good strength. I spent a lot of time checking out other places to stay in Trapani city on the internet before travelling, and saved around 20 per cent on the cost of our accomodation by choosing the Almaran, without any apparent drop in standards.

This was my second visit to Trapani, but my first time staying in the Almaran. When I return I will stay there again. This is an excellent place to stay for lots of good reasons. I rate the Almaran as a very good find, and I highly recommend it.

Bus stop is 40m from the door, Trapani is quite small, so you can reach almost all your next places from this bus stop. Port is lying under your eyes.

Sisilians are friendly and calm, and Antonio was very friendly giving good advises.
Wifi was working well. The room was clean and nice. Only the disposable bottom sheet was not so comfortable. The Spar shop is close to the B&B, up and left and there is a fridge in the kitchen.

Greetings from Finland.
