We stayed at Petrinela's Guesthouse in Triovasalos in Milos for 3 nights in June 2007. We stayed as we had two day sea kayaking trips booked with Sea Kayak Greece.
We didn't stay in the main block of accomodation as there was a large group who were leaving the day after we arrived. We were therefore placed in accomodation slightly up the road. The accomodation was spotless, had airconditioning, television, full bathroom and kichen facilities. It was cleaned every day and had a small patio where we often sat in the evenings. Breakfast was included which mainly consisted of bread, various spreads and jams, coffee and juice.
The guesthouse is located in Triovasalos, which is a small village, but is a short walk up the hill to the capital of Milos, Plaka. There are a few restaurants and bars in Plaka, including the Utopia bar which has amazing views of the sea and surrounding area. There is less in Plaka than in Adamas, the main port, but enough for sufficent (quiet, in June)entertainment for a few nights.
The two sea kayaking trips we did whilst staying in the guesthouse were amazing and fantastic fun - I would recommend this to anyone as the best way to see the Island. Rod is very friendly and helpful and the trips are very relaxed with frequent stops for snorkelling or sunbathing in beautiful coves.
Rod was also kind enough to provide us with a CD of photos he had taken of our trips and give us a lift to our second hotel (Hotel Thalassitra).
I would highly recommend Petrinela's Guesthouse and Sea Kayak Milos to anyone - we had an absolutely amazing time.
