Stopped by here on our way to Winston-Salem from Mt Airy. It’s a beautiful place!! Pilot Mountain is their back drop. We did have to wait about 15 minutes for a wine tasting, they were packed! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Easter weekend. It would have been nice if they had a place to do the tastings outside because it was so pretty out.
My husband and I did each do a wine tasting and ended up buying 3 bottles-we thought all the wines were very good!! (Crimson Creek, Twinkles & Pink). I was surprised that the wine glasses didn’t come with the tastings but, we had to have them, they are beautiful & huge!!!
I also bought one of their candles(sassy pants) in an old wine bottle. I love it and it smells so good!!!
Also met the owner, he was very nice, friendly and appreciative that we stopped in.
Definitely would recommend and return if in the area

Thank dstelz

First visit here today with friends. The location has an awesome view of Pilot Mountain though, sadly, it is not visible from the dining room. Staff seemed a bit disorganized but were pleasant. Samples of wine were offered but only two came for three of us and we were told to share...? Waitperson was not able to give recommendations re the menu and was unfamiliar with some items. Food was good, not great. We had the Monte Carlo sandwich, lobster ravioli, Caesar salad flatbread and the (deconstructed) lettuce wraps. The white wine was good enough. The rose’ not so much. The key lime pie was okay. Did not do the wine tasting but will return to try another day.

If you would like to eat at the same time as everyone else in your party, then maybe it will work there if you're dining alone. We had a RESERVATION for 6 people and were initially seated at a table for 4 and had to ask to move to a larger table. The waiter was kind and was trying to tell us about the specials and made the comment that the singer was too loud, which they were, which was bizarre for Easter Sunday. After waiting about 25 minutes after ordering, 2 entrees came out and about 15 minutes later 2 more entrees came out and then about 30 minutes later the last 2 came out. However, while we were waiting on the last 2 entrees, one of the chefs came out with a waiter to go chat with another table of guests. DEPLORABLE! We were brought some herb butter while we waited on the last 2 entrees. Didn't have anything to eat it with, but I guess that was to make up for the horrible service from the kitchen. Too much money for the lack of food. DO NOT WASTE your time and money!

Brought friends up to experience a lunch and winery day. We were very impressed with the wine, staff and extended hospitality. A great afternoon with Pilot Mountain overlooking us in the background.

Jolo is incredibly unique in that they have created an amazing experience for the visitor. The wine is great, the tasting room is beautiful, the food is wonderful and the outdoor spaces were designed for enjoyment. We were there to consider the space for a wedding reception (it's a yes). Most wineries in NC have ok wine and decent tasting rooms. This is spectacular AND the people are nice and it is not overpriced!
