Our stay at the Nads Head Beach Inn was just fantastic. This place was the epitome of a Beach Inn. Just super. Ken, the Inn Keeper was great. He gave a great welcome brief by telling us all the amenities at the Inn and showed us to our room and showed all the features of the room. The room was extremely nice and clean and well appointed with nice furniture and it was squeaky clean. He gave us a brief of all the restaurants and places to go with great recommendations. By the end of our welcome brief I felt like Ken was an old friend. This man truly enjoys his work. He even helped us with our luggage. I can't say enough about his hospitality. There was ice, soda's, treats, and coffee avaiable all day. The continental breakfast hit the spot everyday with a variety to choose from...waffles, breakfast sandwiches, cereals, freah fruit and pastries. Of course being at the Outer Banks and the short walk to the ocean was only icing on the cake to our visit to the Nags Head Beach Inn. We would return in a heart beat. An exceptional visit.

Room Tip: Pick a room with a Jacuzzi...very relaxing

The details were in wonderful order! Clean and welcoming, with a charming touch around every corner. Plenty of extra equipment available for use on the beach, bikes, etc..
Great variety at breakfast, with some snacks remaining through the day. Nothing too gourmet, but more than I had expected.
Room was spacious, comfortable bed and individual A/C control, spacious closet, separate bathroom and tub/shower, Jacuzzi tub was great. The common room/eating areas were lovely and provide an air of civility to a beach vacation.
Inn keepers (Ken and Lisa) were very hospitable with many recommendations available if you don't have your trip or dining planned ahead of time.
Seemed a great place for any occasion, groups or couples.
We had to leave early due to an emergency and they were very accommodating.
Highly recommended and close to many of the sights and activities, Roanoke across the bay is a day well spent as well if the beach is cloudy or cool.

Room Tip: Jacuzzi Tub is worth it. Each room has its own particular flair.

It seems somewhat superfluous to write yet another great review of this place since there are already so many posted. But I just want to echo what everyone else has said about the fabulous Nag's Head Beach Inn. My husband and I stayed here in August on our first trip to Nag's Head and we can't wait to return next year! The room was simply decorated and immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable. Each morning the wonderful smell of coffee drew us into the sunlit dining area where an array of fresh fruit, quiche, breads, and delectable pastries awaited. When we returned to our room each afternoon, it had been cleaned and freshened and when we returned to the inn every evening there were slices of homemade chocolate cake. Heavenly!
And what can I say about Ken the innkeeper? Friendly, laid back, helpful, and full of knowledge about the area. Each morning he provided us with a cooler of ice, soft drinks, chairs, and an umbrella for the beach (which is just a quick walk across the street). Bicycles await out front if guests want to take a spin. We didn't see quite as much of Lisa (Ken's wife) but her presence is still felt as she is the maker of some of the delicious fare provided.
If you're a couple looking for a great place to stay in the Nag's Head area, book this place! You will not regret it.

I recently stayed here on a short vacation with my best friend. We were greeted upon arrival by Ken, the innkeeper. He is very friendly and you feel like you're welcome. The building itself is historical but beautifully maintained with lovely wood floors, and charming rooms. The bed was great, the jacuzzi tub was an especially nice perk. The breakfast is delicious and you can tell Ken and Lisa take pride in meeting all of their guest's needs.

The Inn is located across the street from the public beach access, and when one has had enough sand and sun, you can walk back to the Inn and sit in rocking chairs on the porch or find a nice spot in the garden, around back by the pool. They offer chairs, bikes, and other beach accessories for the guests to use so it's great to not have to rent them or buy them, and very convenient.

Overall, we loved this place and will definitely return. Ken, Lisa and the staff are friendly, the location is great, the room is clean and spacious, I have no complaints whatsoever, and hope to visit again soon!

This was an off the cuff trip. Originally my husband didn't even want to spend one night in Nags Head. He just wanted to make it a day trip while visiting family in North Carolina. I talked him into one night so we could get 2 days at the beach. Ken was so nice that even though they have a 2 night minimum he let us stay just one night. Just across the street was the beach, so convenient. The rooms, the lounge and breakfast area was so cozy, clean and inviting. Especially the jacuzzi in the room. Even though we were only spending the one night Ken was so sweet he let us come back to the room after our second day on the beach and clean up before hitting the road. Our other choice was changing in a gas station bathroom. I hope you all survive the hurricane because we will be back. Besides all the nice things he did for us they also provide beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach, how much nicer can you get.
