For anyone that is a fan of the Andy Griffith Show this is a must see. It is a small but very informative museum. It has some very nice pieces from the Andy Griffith Show along with other things that Andy Griffith was part of. You can hear Andy sing the Andy Griffith Show theme song along with other songs. You see his Matlock suit and other things from movies that he made. Down stairs is a small exhibit of things from Betty Lynn who played Thelma Lou on his show. She comes every third Friday and signs autographs for all the fans. All in all it is a definite stop if you are in town.

What a collection of items. Teased up just looking. Pictures, film clips, clothing worn on set, props etc. Small museum, but worth 8.00 to get it. Enjoyed it very much.

Small museum that's worth the visit in town, but nothing spectacular. Great history of Andy Griffith and memorabilia if you're into that sort of thing.

Loved seeing the actual clothing and props from the sets of the Andy Griffith Show. Never heard Mr. Griffith sing in his early career but there is a booth that you can see a movie clip of him singing. Wonderful museum to bring the family.

Great tribute to the life of Andy Griffith. I wasn’t aware of him being in movies also. Beside acting on the Andy Griffith show there was a nice display from Matlock. The actress (Betty Lynn) that played Thelma Lou lives in Mt. Airy and often stops by at the museum. $8 admission worth it.

Every visitor should stop by the museum and visit. Not only does it have Andy Griffith information but others if you go inside and if you go at the right time you can also stay and listen to some music or maybe see a play.

My family and I took a trip to Mt. Airy while visiting our son who lives in Huntersville, NC. The town itself is like stepping back in time, it is very quaint and worth the visit. The highlight was the Andy Griffith museum. The exhibits are done well and are very informative. I learned a lot about Mr. Griffith's life and the show itself. It is a must see if you are ever in the area.
