I mainly selected this cabin because my wife and I were travelling with our 2 yo and I felt that the farm and the animals would appeal to him more than just some cabin in the middle of the woods. I have to say this place is more than I expected. The cabin is very well decorated and comes stocked with most of the amenities you would need for your stay. The owners also stocked the fridge with some very delicious homemade jam, eggs from the farm, corn meal, and honey. They also have a delightful farm store on the property were you can purchase meats and crafts made on the farm.
Outside is a wonderful view of the surrounding farm and mountains. Also the soaking tub is phenomenal. You could easily spend an entire evening soaking and watching the scenery. You can also tour the farm and make friends with the owners two big friendly dogs, which my 2 yo did in quick order.
The cabin is also just 30 minutes away from asheville. So if you want a night out it can be easily arranged.
Overall I very much enjoyed my stay and would recommend this cabin to anyone. The owners have a very good thing here.
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at the East Fork farm cottage. It is so beautiful and nicely situated on the mountain side but more importantly it's very clean and well kept and has every amenity as a fancy hotel but better because it's like living at home . We are close to antiquing in Asheville, driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, and even traveling to see the West Smoky Mountains!
We wanted a quiet Thanksgiving holiday this year - but not too quiet, I have 2 teenage girls who need to keep busy. This cottage was so unique! Nestled in the mountains but only 25 minutes to the town and all the adventures Asheville has to offer. Our first snowfall of the year was enjoyed from the soaking tub while we sipped on our hot chocolates first thing Thanksgiving morning ... what a great memory that will be. Highly recommend for a special getaway - you won't be disappointed.
My husband and I headed to Asheville for our first weekend away from our sons. We found a gem in this property! The owners are great and their dog (Sam) is almost an iconic mascot. We were able to relax and still enjoy the days in Asheville.

This cabin is our new getaway! Immaculate, fully loaded cabin overlooking a quint farm with every amenity you need: gas fireplace, grill & stove, hot tub, new king bed nestled in the loft, electronics, wifi, and home grown touches of local honey & coffee, farm fresh eggs and even jelly already in the kitchen. Lamb & chicken available from the farm. Close to the Blue Ridge pkwy & Asheville. Hike, antique and view the scenic hwy, then soak in the hot tub. Or just hang out and help at the farm. Sleep to the rustling brook outside your window. Very affordable!!
