This was our first dinner at Smoky Shadows. Some friends recommended it to us. Boy was that a great recommendation. The meal was served family style and there was plenty for seconds. The tomato pie was to die for. The view off the back porch was also wonderful. I would highly recommend eating here!

Be sure to call for reservations for dinner at Smokey Shadows. Arrive early to sit on the porch and enjoy the view. BYOB if desired. Dinner is family style. The tomato pie is so good. We had pot roast, potatoes, carrots, a salad and other veggies. This is a wonderful place to unwind and refuel, chat with other diners and enjoy your evening.

My husband & I have been dining at Gingers (Smokey Shadows Lodge) for over 20 years. We have always loved the food, the view, & most of all time with Ginger & Tracy, (her daughter) and these days the chef. If you are in Maggie, call 828-926-0001. find out the nights they are cookin’. Whether it’s the pork or chicken. You’ll be be impressed. The tomato pie is memorable. Lima beans, fresh squash, rice, fresh corn, salad, and rolls, straight from heaven. Save room for dessert. Always delicious. Dinner bell at 6:30. Arrive around 5:30. Sit on the porch. Enjoy a cocktail, wine, or beer. BYOB. Always fun. Delicious. Smokey Shadows is the best dining in Maggie.

Ignore the date; it has been a few years. However, Chef Ginger is always 5 stars. This is my favorite place to dine in Haywood County since 1990. My favorite dish is tomato pie; any other dish is really good but tomato pie rules! The rooms are delightful and the view is fantastic any time of the day.

Wonderful host Ms. Ginger along with marvelous Chef Tracy . Dinners are absolutely outstanding !!!! Historic mountain lodge with breathtaking views. By far this is one of the most enjoyable dinner experiences we have had . Everything is cooked from scratch with only the freshest ingredients. Chef Tracy makes fresh whip cream to top off her sensational desserts . From start to finish just delicious !!!!!
