“Great Food but very expensive”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2010

The food was great but about $35 per person. Very nice location. Go early and check out the horses.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2010

We found the Lodge here on Local Picks and are glad we did. After reading the other reviews we called to see if we could get a reservation for that evening. It was an experience to remember. A rustic hundred- year-old lodge with a porch overlooking the valley below greeted us on arrival. Most of the other guests were repeat customers and regulars. The food was classic Southern cooking which included a wonderful tomato pie. The night we went the menu featured pot roast, turnip greens, and corn on the cob. No alcohol is served but guests are encouraged to bring their own beer and wine. The family has owned the establishment for a long time and their care shows. Apparently a cookbook is in the works and we can't wait to buy a copy.
