Im a sessional for a few years. Two of the staff you could never find if you had problems not Dennie and Barb. Was very happy when the new owner took over but that didn’t last. Moving all sessional into a small area and on top of each other. Please before you book ride around the campground and look to see for your self. This is my last year there.

I went to visit my sister while she was staying there and could not believe what a dump this place has become! Campers are ridiculously close, a lot of them are junky looking and they’ve added cabins that are so close you can reach out the window and practically touch the cabin next door! No privacy! Absolutely would not stay there. The office staff that I met were very rude (especially an older woman...didn’t catch her name). There are far better campgrounds in the area. I would highly suggest checking them out before booking at this pathetic excuse for a campground.

This park is under new management who are working to improve an already good RV park. The staff is friendly and sponsor special programs many weekends. The park is clean, features a dog park and some sites sit right on Johnathon Creek. Sit outside your RV and watch the trout fishing folks go by. Admittedly some sites are narrow but these seem to go to the seasonal folks who are friendly and happy to chat. We will come back for sure. They are adding several new cabins for those that have families meet them at the park.

Staff is extremely helpful. Area is beautiful. We arrived in the middle of what seemed to be a monsoon! In spite of extremely soggy ground, the roads and pads were in excellent condition. They have an off leash dog park.

In spite of being right on the main road, traffic noise is nonexistent.

Great place.

We stayed six nights. Four we had a creekside lot very clean and peaceful. Next two nights we had to move but we knew this when we went in the first night because it was a last minute decision to go to Maggie Valley because Hurricane Matthew interrupted our other plans. The managers were very nice and courteous .They were very helpful and made our stay feel like home. We have booked our same creekside site for 2017.They have a pool. Game room. Laundry. Activity room. Playground. Basketball court. Horseshoes. And they offer more than I listed. They are located in the center of many things to do.You would fall in love with it and the people in charge. I would give it a 5 star rating
