We attended the Wine Dinner on January 2 which was the opening of the new restaurant at Westbend Winery, The Grapevine Grill. We had a delicious meal. Before each course the chef and the winemaker described the pairing. Before dinner we were treated to their release of the 2016 Chambourcin. Our dinner included Herb crusted pan-seared scallops over wild mushroom and tarragon risotto, Salad frisee and Romaine hearts with dried cherries, orange segments, candied walnuts and poached pear, butternut squash and sage bisque, beef tenderloin and half stuffed lobster tail with baby carrots and grilled asparagus, and finally triple layer chcolate mousse cake. The wines that were presented went perfectly with these courses.
We will definitely try the restaurant again.

The new vineyard grill is a beautiful venue in the log home on the property. They just opened and have a lot of kinks to work out including being apologetic for the kinks. The waitress knew nothing about their wines or the menu. They were out of napkins, bread, several appetizers and didn't have the catch of the day. Wine pours were hugely different. Soup came out Luke warm and then new bowl came out with no garnishment. Chicken entree was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our take, chef is great, service verges on awful.

A nice place to meet friends for a glass of good wine.
There is indoor seating ( the day we were there it was chilly) tables with games and comfortable places to sit, nice outdoor area also. Snack food available.
