We had an incredible stay in this clean, family friendly cabin. There were 10 of us and we did not feel crowded. There was space for all, and friendly notes on things to do in the area. The owner made us feel more like House Guests! I highly recommend this place, and hope to return again.
Lake Lure and the surrouding area is a wonderful place to vacation. Many things to do, from golfing at several beautiful golf courses (Rumbling Bald was our favorite), to climbing Chimmney Rock and enjoying the night life in nearby Asheville.
The cabin itself exceeded all our expectations. Everything you need at home was available in the cabin. My husband especially enjoyed the hot tub and I the swing and the porch in the early evening.
We also enjoyed our host checking on us and our conversations about our various travels and experiences. We would recommend the Lake Lure area and this cabin in particular to anyone seeking a secluded hideaway in the mountains with many activities to keep you entertained. Our grown children are still thanking us for inviting them to join us.
The owners and managers of this location are fantastic! They wanted to ensure that we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and went above and beyond to make sure the cabin was in perfect condition. The cabin was pet friendly and our little 10 pound dog loved exploring the property. I had two teenagers with me and they both love the location. It was private, but still close enough to the town of Lake Lure. There was an Ingles just a few miles away. The hot tub was definitely a bonus. In the end we wanted more time to explore the area and found ourselves wanting to go back soon.
Cabin was really nice and roomy. Plenty of room for family. Land was beautiful and pretty. Watch out for wood ticks and chiggrrs! (Didn't bother this North Dakota girl. Lol) Kids loved playing in the creek. Down the road a few miles is a big spot of creek that you can swim in. Went swimming at lake lure. Hike was nice up chimney rock and falls was very pretty. (Love movie The Last Of The Mohican s) Food was good. Recommend going to the La Strada. (Have yummy pizza) And just a little over an hour away is the Nantahala French Broad Outpost for white water rafting. That was highlight of trip. Highly recommend. Had a wonderful time. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.
this is the first time we were all in a cabin and we loved it! wish we had more time here. the owner is really nice and attentive! wonderful place to turn on the fire pit and say scary stories at 1am
