Our seafood is brought in fresh daily, and we use locally grown ingredients. All the locals love our filet dishes as well as our large menu. All desserts are homemade. We are a family run restaurant with most of our staff having been with us for over 15 years. We do everything to make sure all of our customers leave happy.

“Off the Beaten Path”
Reviewed 11 April 2012

This place is situated off the main strip but was very good. Its a house they turned into a cafe. The food was really good, and not over priced compared to many tourists traps. The service was nice and took very good care of us. Two down falls if they even count. They're only open for dinner. We were thinking since its a "Cafe" they would have a lunch menu. Two, you should probably make a reservation due to the size and popularity.

“Great ambiance and food”
Reviewed 9 April 2012

The Cafe is actually a converted house but everything from the decor to the wait staff to the food was supreme. A bit pricey but the prices were right in line with the quality of the food and service. We'll be back.

“Chance Encounter!”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

We were on a much needed vacation in Duck North Carolina. We were exploring the area of Colington Island when we drove past the Colington Cafe, in a very out of the way location. We continued to explore. Nearing dinner time we returned down the same road and began to consider stopping at "place in the house" that we had seen. We're pulled in the lot at 5 PM which turned out to be opening time. With some reservations (no pun!) we went up the steps. Without actual reservations and not at all dressed up, we were nonetheless greeted warmly and seated. From there to the moment we left it was a truly wonderful experience, from the attentive but not oppressive table service to the wonderful food. Prices were moderate for an exquisite dining experience. It was the last night the Cafe was open before closing for the holidays. We encountered many patrons who were there for the second night in a row. The ambieance was friendly and light. I hope that we will have a chance to return. It is a gem which becomes known by word of mouth and chance encounter.
