This is a great, clean and unique find. Brings you back many years and so convenient to the Hot spa across the street. We will be back. This is a one horse town so if you want night life, partying, dont bother. If you want quaint, hot thermal tubs, affordable massages...do come, you will love it

Room Tip: Very different hotel, more like B & B

Pros: Comfortable bed, clean room & bath, good adjoining restaurant, jacuzzi tub exceeded expectations, friendly staff, plenty of hot water, close to everything (hot springs, stores, and restaurants).

Cons: No TV or phone in the room (we use Verizon and were roaming or had no signal our entire stay), unreliable wi-fi access (the best connection is above the restaurant), rooms are bright for sleeping, walls are paper thin, no breakfast or snacks, no one staffed to make the communal coffee or refill coffee supplies in the morning, while the staff is very kind they didn't follow through on requests promptly and sometimes not at all (such as room temperature adjustment, fresh towels and our reservation had been lost completely causing to have to change rooms).

Good if all you need is a bed and hot shower (and you bring your ear plugs) but not worth the cost.

Room Tip: Check out the restaurant, but sleep somewhere else.

My husband and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary on this trip. From the moment I made our reservation until the time we left we felt cared for. Everything was waiting for us when we arrived and all reservations had been made for us. We stayed in room 206, that included a claw foot tub...a great plus! Yes, there is a train but we are used to that. No television but because the walls are so thin it wouldn't be a good idea anyway. The walls are very thin and that was a drawback but not enough to keep us from going again. Our neighbors were very respectable and we tried to show the same courtesy. We had a lovely view of the mountains and we were far enough away from the restaurant that we couldn't hear those noises. We would love to get one of the rooms with the jacuzzis the next time we go.

Room Tip: Room 206 was wonderful!

The room was $83.00. There is about 20 steps to get to the room and no Television. The bed is so hard my hips hurt and the noise is awful. The people were nice but I am not happy. The walls are paper thin but the bathroom is super clean.

This quaint little inn with its attached restaurant was the most comfortable and relaxing place I've ever stayed. The man who runs the inn was kind and thoughtful and he seemed more like a long time friend than a total stranger whom I'd just met. The spa is perfect. I plan to hike the entire AT in a few years and I will definitely stop at the Iron Horse for another stay.
