Dry falls was absolutely incredible while we were there. It had rained pretty hard so the lake and dam supplying the waterfall was emptying very rapidly. It was also gorgeous weather in the afternoon instead of being gloomy, so it was an amazing experience. Probably the best waterfall we’ve every seen. The hike wasn’t that bad, mostly steps and paving and less than 10 minutes of a walk to get all the way down. It is called “Dry” falls because you can walk behind it without getting wet, aside from some minor spray. Don’t miss this waterfall while in highlands, especially after a rain. If you have some time, keep driving down as the river keeps going and there are many more places to pull off and take in the scenery. The leaves were also changing so it was worth driving down and seeing all the colors in the background.
