Recommended by locals for their chopped barbecue sandwiches with RO’s Sauce.

We went with friends to try.

Barbecue sandwiches were wrapped in wax paper, and pressed flat. RO’s Sauce was gooped on.

The Sauce...yech! A concoction of thousand island dressing, spices, and other “stuff”. About as original as MacDonalds secret sauce.

There are better barbecue restaurants.

RO's is a Gaston county institution. The retro neon, curb hops, and BBQ with their signature dipping BBQ slaw makes it a special trip. Add a cherry lemon Sundrop for a complete experience!

So disappointed in the barbecues. Not very much meat and the slaw they use to have is more like a sauce now. I grew up eating RO's Barbecues and they are not the same. Not worth getting to bring home.

As always, food is great!!! Always have to make a pit stop when I get into town. Small appetites should NEVER go for the XL BBQ sandwich because I seriously doubt you could eat it all even though it's one of those sandwiches you try regardless!!! The order of fries could feed 2 easily. Make sure to go for the XL sweet tea, yeah, it's that good:)
