We travel every other year to Asheville and this is the place we always stay. The house is very relaxing. Plenty of room and love the open space concept. Very clean. Evenings are quite and easy to get a good nights rest. My wife and 2 sons have a wonderful time here and we appreciate the beautiful nature surrounding the property. We travel from VA and it's very easy to find the house off the 40 West Highway. Easy access to downtown Asheville , killer restaurants/breweries, Biltmore Estate and other fantastic locations.
GREAT HOME TO STAY!
We felt very much at home in this spacious comfortable house. Lovely layout with comfortable bedrooms and living areas all attractively furnished. A very efficient kitchen with all amenities. My husband and children loved the deck where we ate dinner several evenings overlooking a beautiful wooded area. The property was well maintained and we found the location perfect for our drive to down town Asheville, where there a many wonderful restaurants, museums and shopping, The Biltmore ( amazing) and, of course, the Blue Ridge mountains (spectacular)! So much to do and see! We shall certainly return to Asheville AND Blackberry Lodge!!
Easy to get to from Asheville. We were here with our 10 year old daughter and loved the open floor plan of the house. The back deck was perfect for grilling, bird watching and having evening drinks. It was super close to great hiking and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Be sure to hike Bearwallow Mountain which is just down the road and grab a beer at the Whistle Hop, the local brewery that is in an old rail car! We will definitely be coming back here to stay on our next visit to Asheville!
We visited Asheville with a couple of families before school started and absolutely loved staying at Blackberry Lodge. As soon as we walked in, we were impressed with the spaciousness of the home and how clean it was. All the kids had a blast in their own space plus the game room was a big hit. The adults spent a lot of time relaxing outside on the huge decks, cooking, playing cards, reading and listening to the birds. The kitchen was perfectly stocked and ideal for a few big meals we prepared. The hot tub was great after our hike up to the top of Bear Wallow Mountain. We were close to Asheville and Black Mountain. Locally, we had a great breakfast at the Local Joint and enjoyed some tasty beer at the Whistle Hop brewery (family friendly!) We had some questions for Yonder, the management company and they responded very quickly. They were very helpful throughout the process and friendly. We have decided as a family to make this trip a tradition and come back every year. Thank you Blackberry Lodge!
