The free order from the menu hot breakfast was super. The rooms were clean and nice and the price was very reasonable. The staff was very nice , friendly and accommodating. The location was excellent and the bar and the music was enjoyable as well.

I would describe this motel in one word: sub-par. Maybe 30 yrs ago it was good, but it is ‘tired’. We stayed here because, at the last moment, it was the only pet-friendly hotel we could locate . . . never again. In addition, we encountered, in just a few hours, 2 drug sales, 2 suspected prostitution events (1 at the bar, 1 in the parking lot), a lot of ‘riff-raff’ driving through the property, spillover of street partying from the adjacent Econo Lodge, and a dozen or so heavy duty dump trucks in and out for the night
Other issues are worn out rooms, with poor mattresses, bathrooms in need of renovation, and dirty carpet. Then there were the uneven sidewalks, a hotel bar and grill staff that knows nothing of customer service, and inoperable ice machines
My recommendation . . . . stay at the much newer Comfort Inn or the Hampton (Note: neither are pet friendly)

Room tip: Find another motel

The hotel is a older property but has recently been renovated, We do have a lot of worker including truck drivers so... Yes there was dump trucks in the parking lot but there was also plenty of room for guest to park. Not sure how looking at people you assume their drug dealers or anyone negative. We have plenty of repeat guest who love the place.

We had a last minute trip to Elizabeth City to plan during the homecoming weekend of Elizabeth City State University. We had no choice, but to stay here as the nicer hotels in town were booked solid for the weekend. Thankfully I had Choice Privileges Hotel points to cover the cost of the room. I'd NEVER paid the asking price of $150 per night. Sleeping in the car would have been a better option. The interior of the room was updated, but the exterior is outdated. We were greeted by a dead bug on the AC/Heat unit. The t.v.'s in the complex went out during the evening as well as the Wifi...our only joy of staying. I'm glad I wasn't asked how our stay was when we checked out I would have been quite honest.

Room tip: Corner rooms near the concrete stairs are quite noisy!

THE PRO'S.....it is right off the highway and easy to get to, clean rooms, outside pool but closed now, very nice sports bar attached, breakfast room is a waiter served breakfast, not the usual breakfast buffet so NO seconds on the breakfast food, you get a coupon from the front desk for the breakfast, breakfast room is a very nice padded seat type dining room, usual hot water etc. , access on main floor rooms to your car parked right outside.

THE CONS; badly stained carpet in the room, noisy AC, WIFI is iffy....sometimes shuts down for no reason and the band width is very narrow. SOooooo you have lots of delays when clamping on your favorite websites.

Here you go Mr. & Mrs. Patel, I booked 2 rooms for my sister and myself. Let me say, I was thoroughly disgusted the way the rooms looked and smelled. You can't blame your housekeeping staff as the can not turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. People screaming all hours of the night, hoochie mama's in and out all hours of the night, and loud noises like gun shots. I was going to stay an additional 7 nights there but I convinced my sister to take my little puppy back home with her. You will never have to worry about me or my sister coming back for an overnight stay with you.
