Stayed at this Comfort Inn while using Elizabeth City as base for a couple day vacation in November. Hotel is very clean and staff are very friendly. The elevator is at the opposite end of the building from the parking, so I used the stairs mostly. I was in a king bed room that was wide along the back wall, i.e. after entering the room, the bed was close to the door with the head against the wall toward the hallway, and the bath was down a short hall at the end of the room (layout also allowed for 2 windows). Microwave and fridge, but only 2 drawers and the closet rod was so close to the closet doors that the hangers had to lie at an angle to close the doors. With the closet at the far end of the room, beyond the bath, it wasn't a real problem if the doors were ajar. No in-room safe, The breakfast was good with a hot meat and eggs (bacon one day, sausage the next; cheese omelet followed by fried eggs), Belgian waffle maker, assortment of cereals, pastries, breads, yogurts, juices, and coffee. The entrance from Hughes Blvd can be abrupt and very close to the rival hotel next door; there is also an entrance from Church Street into the parking area.
