If you are looking for a casual lunch and have tried a panini before, then you must visit Toast. Not only they offer a diverse list of paninis but tasty soups that are a perfect combination for a simple, but pretty tasty, lunch. One of my regulars at Durham!

This was a MOST amazing meal! Super delicious crostini - you choose 3 plus soup or salad for $10! Had 2 of the soup specials plus the crostinis aren’t 3 - there is 2 of each! Absolutely delicious! Paired with a house recommended white wine. Superb summer dinner! Can’t wait to return.

I enjoyed another great lunch at Toast. If you love soup and authentic Italian sandwiches this is the place. I loved the cold cucumber soup. My portobello, fontina cheese, arugula and fresh tomato sandwich on toasted sour dough bread was gourmet delicious. It’s been ten years since this place was among the first in downtowns revitalization. Glad it’s still going strong and better than ever.

Stopped in after visit to Duke - about a mile from campus in downtown Durham. Quick friendly service - great selection of panini's and crostini'. Two of us voted for the prosciutto panini and another for a grilled chicken panini. Both were excellent. Quick, casual, great sandwiches.... great spot for lunch.
