This hotel is the best in Charlotte. I worked with Kai multiple times and she is absolutely amazing. By far the best customer service I have had in a LONG time. The valet parking team was amazing and super friendly. The room is perfect and full of smart room features that make it incredible!

An unforeseen server malfunction shut down the internet, billing, and key card assignment on their busiest day of the week and hosting a conference. The team overcame the obstacle with some extra work, the crew was as pleasant as ever. The layout is unique and rooms were great. Very accommodating to Tech life and collaboration.

Upon entering you are greeted immediately into a bustling lobby where people are gathered to dine or mingle. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. House-keeping seemed very busy when we stayed and missed the mark on a few areas but the hotel rectified the situation. Located in the heart of city and near a lot of restaurants and bar/lounges. Literally in walking distance or a very short Uber ride away. Pleasant stay!

We had a wonderful stay... very comfortable. In town for a wedding across the street.
Valet parking only ... $30 plus gratuity. Wifi is $9.95 unless Marriott Rewards member. Rates are very high to begin with. Bottomline - with the wedding group rate, the valet parking was gratis (after initially charging us incorrectly, they agreed to reverse the charge after my commenting about it); the wifi is gratis if you ask about it.. and they reverse the charge if you are a rewards member.... and the initial rate was very high. and varied daily depending on what they could charge due to events.... we negotiated with them and got relatively exorbitant prices down to something reasonable.
Our bed was very comfortable; shower was great; location is wonderful; staff is marvelous.
Recommendable if you are aware of all the costs and deal with them appropriately.

Room Tip: higher the better

We were absolutely stunned when entering this Marriott as it looks nothing like any Marriott we'd seen before. Not to imply other Marriotts are inferior in any way ... they're just not like this one! The hotel has been completely remodeled and has a somewhat unique and beautiful interior. The design is very open concept throughout. Rooms also do not disappoint until ... you are ready some peace and quiet. Problem #1: There are giant TVs mounted on the walls with lots of cool features. However, we could hear programming from the room next door like it was in our room as the TV must have been directly behind our heads. Problem #2: There was a nightclub across the street that was so loud, we could hear actual words to songs very clearly. Problem #3: Once the neighbors' TV was off and the club shut down, we finally fell asleep UNTIL ... other guests started walking down the hallway early in the morning, talking and dragging luggage ... which we could hear far too well. Sigh. Some colleagues had a room facing a different side and at the end of a hall - so they did not have any real noise issues. Thus, while this Marriott has a great location (particularly for business travelers) and is simply stunning ... we likely won't return. If we do, we'll definitely bring earplugs!

Room Tip: Highest floor possible, end of the hallway to minimize noise.

Thank you for submitting a review on our hotel. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the aesthetics of the hotel, but I am disappointed to learn of the noise issues that you experienced while staying with us. We do take a noise issues very serious and have a zero noise policy. We hope if your travels bring you back to Charlotte you choose to stay with us.
