It's been years since we went to Brixx in Chapel Hill. We use to go regularly but moving to Durham we kind of forgot about it as competition and proximity changed. Very glad we rediscovered Brixx while visiting friends. The open space with comfortable seating inside and out is welcoming. We split a wonderful house salad that featured pistachios to start. Then we shared the three mushrooms and greens pizza as well as an artichoke roasted red peppers pizza. Baked crispy as we requested that slightly burnt flavor from the wood fire was delicious as we totally enjoyed the local ingredients and thin fluffy dough of our craft pizzas. Coupled with a Pinot Grigio and a local craft brew we smiled in our rediscovery of one of the original gourmet pizza places in the Triangle. Our service was excellent! Our server Shirlie was a delight and kudos to the food runner who ran our food out while still warm and stopped with a smile and fresh pepper/cheese with a calm assurance. Highly recommend an easy evening of comfort, high quality salad and pizza. Job well done.
