My husband and I have eaten lunch at Wild Thyme twice in the last 2 weeks and on both visits are food was delicious!! We sat inside on one visit and outside on the other and had great service. The salmon BLT is incredible and the rice side is outstanding!!

Wild Thyme Cafe is closed. Construction on the new tennant, Ugly Dog Saloon from Highlands is already in progress.

The owner of Wild Thyme, which was originally from Highlands, Andrea Schmidt, has moved to the former Wild Thyme location in Highlands which has been smartly reincarnated as Meritage on Carolina Way. The newly decorated space is outstanding as is the food.

Try the roasted Brussel Sprouts at Meritage. You will be blown away. Fantastic. The menu is great as is the food. 828 526 1019

This place has a wonderful menu with very creative entrees and specials, and a lovely patio for dining (well shaded). I enjoyed their beet salad with goat cheese and arugula and their Halibut, which was exceptional. Lovely place to enjoy terrific food in an outdoor setting in downtown Highlands.

We lunched here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We had read good reviews of the restaurant and these were completely borne out.
The good was very well presented and extremely tasty. Staff are attentive, friendly and just very good at their jobs. Menu for both lunch and dinner is well designed and more than varied enough for most palates.
We will definitely return.
There is of course the Glenturret Famous Grouse experience and a nicely stocked shop to visit also.

We thought the food was very good to excellent on some dishes. Overall it was a great place to have lunch or dinner! Expect to pay a little more than average for each dish. Beer and wine selection were excellent.
