If you are traveling to this area of NC and have a pet..then this is the best bet...even if you do not have a pet its still a very nice hotel. The room was clean, attractively decorated, beds comfortable and they even have a microwave and fridge in the room! They also have a good breakfast bar. The staff was very friendly too! I will definitely return.

Thank you for your kind review Foodieman. We did a major renovation over the past year that really brightened the place up and we're glad that you agree. As a quick side note I do want to mention for any reading this that the Single Queen rooms actually do not have microwaves and refrigerators, but all our other rooms do indeed. We'll be glad to have you back and hope every future visit is as good or better than the first. Thanks for staying with us!

We had a room on the third floor, very quiet, even with a full house on this holiday weekend. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very clean, tv worked with no problems, continental breakfast was good, and coffee was always available.

Front desk was very helpful. At check in, Judy helped us with directions to a restaurant near the rafting center, while Matt was very kind and friendly while ensuring a fully stocked breakfast was available on a VERY busy Labor Day Monday!

Hi Julie, thanks for your review. That was definitely a busy weekend, hotels were sold out for around 100 miles all around us, which usually means there are at least 3 or 4 local events drawing people to the mountains. We're glad you enjoyed your stay and we will pass your kind words along to Judy and Matt, they'll be happy to know their efforts are appreciated. Come see us again if you find yourself in the area, we'd love to have you back!

Even though it’s a small hotel in a small town its great location on top of a beautiful hill with an amazing view! Holly at the front desk was very helpful and gave great directions to deep creek! She also gave some good recommendations on restaurants! Will definitely stay there again :)

Thanks for your review Bradley, we can't deny that our town is small, but it has a lot to offer if you're looking for a place to get away and enjoy the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. When mother nature cooperates, this is one of the most scenic locations one can find themselves in. Deep Creek is a wonderful spot to hike, picnic or camp and we like to take every chance we can to get over there ourselves, so it's nice you were able to enjoy that as well. Maybe when you come back you can check out the Nantahala Gorge, another naturally alluring spot where one can go to truly get away from it all, just minutes from our location.

I really enjoyed my queen room with window seat looking out at the Great Smoky Moutains. The desk was helpful with dinner suggestions. Rooms were very clean as=nd well appointed. the only disappointment was the breakfast. Not much variety and mostly carbs. I definitely would stay again and will recommend to friends.

Hi Tom, thanks for your review. It is always good to hear that someone enjoyed their stay here. The even numbered rooms on the higher floors do have a very nice view of the sunrise coming over the mountains in the east and we're fortunate to be located in a place where we can offer those views to our guests. Our housekeepers do an excellent job keeping our rooms clean as well. It is an underappreciated job but a vital one, so thanks for acknowledging the quality of their work. We'll be looking forward to your return and hopefully we can improve our breakfast offerings in the near future. We are always looking for ways to improve and we will take your words into consideration as we weigh our options.

We were searching for a hotel in the area, and came across this one. It was updated, clean and had a basic continental breakfast. We were very happy with our choice. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very, very efficient and helpful. The only complaint that we have is, it is quite far from town, and there are no restaurants within walking distance. After unloading & unpacking, we had to drive into town for supper. There are no delivery options in Bryson City. What a shame!

Hi Patti, thank you for your review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. While I would dispute that we are "far" from town (the drive to town takes less than 2 minutes), I do understand the disappointment in lack of delivery options. There are a lot of places to eat in town, but unfortunately none of them seem to have the manpower to allow for delivery services so that does make our location on the other side of the highway a little less convenient. While one could walk to town in about 15 minutes if necessary, it is not a path I would recommend, so a drive of a couple minutes to get under the overpass and into town is just about necessary in order to get some food. As a resident of Bryson City, I have found myself lamenting our lack of delivery options on a number of occasions and I am with you 100 percent on that. Maybe one day this will change, my fingers remain crossed for that. We hope in the event that you return that we will be able to say that there is indeed a delivery option available for everyone's convenience.
