Stayed just one night--next time it'll be several. Relaxing and luxurious with friendly, attentive staff. The food was delicious--spa options available if you're counting calories (and you won't feel cheated). I went with a friend and we both had fantastic massages followed by delicious martinis at the bar. We'll be back.

A precious jewel in scenic Blowing Rock, NC. The property is an elegent well preserved manor house once built and owned by Elliott Daingerfield, a wealthy and accomplished early 1900's painter. Learn more about him and see some of his paintings at Westglow (not exactly a B&B and not a hotel). The staff is wonderful and the restaurant definitely in the haut (or is it haute..my French not so good) gourmet class. Lots of sightseeing in the immediate area. A well spacious spa and health club is part of the property and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains

Room Tip: Book early as there are only a limited number of rooms in the main house

Living near Westglow is a touch of good fortune. This is a world class restaurant with wonderful staff and service. Some of America's iconic personalities frequent this resort .
Dinner is not inexpensive, but well worth the price.

Room Tip: Ask the staff.

My second visit to Westglow was every bit as wonderful as my first visit. A 'mountain body salt' massage was the highlight of the day however all other aspects of the visit were great. The sampler day package offers access to the pool, hot tub, steam room and fabulous spa sun room overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lunch, once again, was beautifully presented and truly 5 star quality. The best ever creamy tomato soup with a slight hint of fennel, mixed green salad and a mouth watering grilled fresh trout entree over 'forbidden' rice rounded out the lunch offering. The staff is very attentive and never overly obvious. My massage 'master' was Regina and she truly was at the top of her game the day I was there.

We finished the day with a brief tour of the 'manor house' where overnight guests stay and the gracious Roland dining room. Next trip will definitely include dinner at the Roland. Overall an outstanding experience.

Recently spent a day at the Westglow spa as part of a girlfriends weekend. We did not stay on sight but purchased a day package that included total access to the spa facilities. The views were spectacular, service and treatments were excellent, food delicious and it was very clean. They had an array of fitness oppurtunites that we did not partake in but would love to use if I return. The most relaxing day I've had in a long time. I did not rank it a 5 because I prefer a spa that has more women only areas. I will definately return.
