Great accommodations, very clean, and amazing staff. The best place around with a great location for going to the state park and for local eateries. The bedroom and bathroom are so spacious and luxurious you might not want to leave your room!

My husband and I took a trip to visit the state park and area for three nights. No reservations before we hit the road. We figured since it was a Sunday, we'd be fine with getting a room. We decided to stay here even though there were other places that were less expensive. (Luckily they had two rooms available when we inquired!) We decided to spend the extra money,, knowing our room and bed would be more comfortable. We had a harbor view room, which we did enjoy (and we may even spring for a balcony next time). One of the simple pleasures was having a coffee bar on our floor in the morning. (No having to go down to the lobby!) The bar and restaurant were nice, and if I had been there longer, I may have used the hot tub or pool. It was convenient to the dock for the boat cruises and to the shops in town. Although it is walkable to the state park, we opted to drive and park in the lot. (We have the Empire Pass, so no charge to parkt.)
We only have one complaint, which I addressed in my follow-up review for the hotel: the three fire burn all day long. With the state of the world with climate change and the unnecessary use of resources, we hope the management looks at this issue.

It was a nice hotel and the room was very comfortable and clean but was annoyed that we have to wait to check in. I understand we arrived a bit earlier but the front manager waited to call us to say the room was ready at exactly 4pm-check in time. Come on!! We also expected a higher floor perhaps with a balcony? for the price paid. I guess our expectations are higher being New Yorkers but we have booked in better hotels for less. Also, we never received confirmation by email, even after my husband called twice. Restaurant is ok, nothing spectacular. Anyway we were celebrating my husband's birthday and overall we enjoyed the town.

Our family was on our way to Niagara Falls and stayed here for 1 night. Now knowing how amazing this place is, wish our stay was longer! Check-in with Christy and Denise was great. They were so professional, friendly and efficient. I had 2 concerns that I needed to address with them and they handled them seamlessly and were so helpful. The grounds and exterior of hotel are beautiful and the interior is clean, welcoming and nicely decorated. Our room was amazing! So beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, comfortable for the 4 of us and the bathroom was huge and super clean. All staff we encountered were great (better than at Disney)! We had breakfast at the restaurant which was wonderful and it is walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park. Fantastic stay, we will be back!

This is a very good option for travelers to Seneca Lake, downtown Watkins Glen, and the roads to the wineries on each side of the lake. Hotel is a stone's throw to the Seneca Pier if you've signed up for any boat rides (check out Schooner Love). Free parking, quiet rooms, free coffee on each floor in the mornings, bottled water in lobby on hot days...but truly the friendly staff is the star, with special shout-outs to Damon in the restaurant and Don the bellman. Ask for a room that overlooks the lake. The outdoor patio area is lovely for dining and there are fire pits with adirondack chairs around them for evenings.

Room tip: Ask for a lakeview room if you can get one -- beautiful view of Seneca Lake and boats
