We had a terrific time. From the reception to our departure, it was a first class operation. Our villa was superb. quiet, clean, cool, and private. Views from the veranda were breathtaking. Breakfast was awesome with the best views on the island. Bar was great. Swimming area was superb. Just cannot say enough great things about this property. Staff was just outstanding in every way. Bucket list stuff here at this place.

My wife and I stayed here in late November 2016 using our HH points for 2 nights. We were celebrating our anniversary and as Diamond members, we were upgraded from a hillside view to one of the best rooms on the resort, a beachside view with an infinity pool! The view from our room was breathtaking. The hotel is on the opposite side of the airport and we had prearranged with the hotel transportation for 65 EUR. We were going to explore the city, but the room and hotel was so nice, we just ended up staying on the resort. As Diamond members, we also got a complimentary "afternoon tea" which included 2 drinks. I can't say enough good things about the resort and its personnel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The villa was not booked to have a full view on the ocean. Moreover, the villa wooden flooring was old also. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The view the beach is not completely sand and mostly have rocks.

We had to call housekeeping each day to come clean our room. We left one day at 10am returned at 5pm the room was not cleaned. Called and was informed someone tried to get in the room but the door was deadbolt locked. You can't lock the deadbolt if no one is inside the room. We tried it, didn't work. So that was not true. Oh and when we arrived, the bathroom had blue hair in the sink and other debris. Not clean! Also, for the price of the room, I would expect to have real glasses to drink from. Not plastic champagne flutes. Room service food was not good. Curry was made with Chicken Breast, which was very dry. Chicken thighs would be much better. Overall, the property is gorgeous, I think the staff could use some additional training. James was the highlight of our stay. He was very helpful from the time we arrived until the time we checked out.

I have stayed in Hilton Northolme for 3 nights. We started our honeymoon from Mahe and then moved to Praslin later.
We had a wait for a while in the arrival hall (which is not their reception and your airport transfer will drop you here) where no-one attended us, later someone came and took us to the reception. We had requested for an early checkin and our villa was ready by the time we completed checkin formalities.
The resort is extremely scenic it is one of the most beautiful locations a resort can be (few pics for your reference).
All villas have great view but if possible choose the grand oceanview pool villa, it's pure bliss. (there are a few videos on youtube which shows the villa in depth, go watch em)
We had chose the Honeymoon offer and topped it up with a local flower bouquet for my wife. The staff had put the flowers in the villa even before we arrived i(that was thoughtful).
The honeymoon offer had all bells and whistles which included stuffs like half board package, couple spa and a bottle of champagne to mention a few.
The food is good both in the Hilltop restaurant and the pool bar. There is a little scope of improving the variety though.
Now if the resort is so good then why is it not the best?
They can definitely improve on their service (like calling a buggy, ordering in-room dining take ages)
Also in a tropical island and in a luxury 5 star resort one should not charge exorbitant amount for bottled water especially if you don't have any alternative for drinking water in the villa.
But having said that, if you are planning for honeymoon in Mahe this is one of the best you can get, this is perfect for honeymoon

Room tip: Choose a grand oceanview pool villa
