First I declined the free drink in exchange to leave them a good false review.

Nastiest little disgusting hell hole. Rudest costumer service. False advertisements; tiny rooms, old, trying hard to be modern, cheesy design, cheap soap smelling. They say there’s a five star, it’s a two-star at best. But what do I know, I’ve only been to 94 countries and am in hotels about 170 nights a year.

Avoid at all costs this grain-sized hell hole bingo crowd lying sleaze turd motel.

Have you ever been to heaven? Well me and my husband have been to heaven at the Bay Stone Hotel in beautiful Mauritius. Everyone from the owner Jean Pierre down to the cleaning staff were exceptional. We felt like family. Anyone who writes a bad review about this hotel needs to see a psychiatrist. Special thanks and love to Stephanie, Gemana, Vinushe and the girl who went to Switzerland. Also the 3 skippers, especially Reaz. He was so informative and gave great knowledge on Mauritius. He was and is a wonderful guy. You are so blessed to have such a wonderful staff. Lots of love and best wishes Brid und Ulrich Stanke Linderhof B&B , Munster Avenue, Galway, Republic of Ireland

We have visited Mauritius many times but have always stayed at the bigger resorts. This year we traveled with a big group of people many of whom were young adults. The stay at Baystone was perfect for them as they were so close to Grand Baie and they thoroughly enjoyed the night life. The rooms were spacious, clean and beautiful and the views from the hotel are breathtaking. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly to our large group which often dominated areas when we were all together. The hotel has a range of bicycles which we made good use of and the spa was absolutely world class. The set menu's at night were always excellent and accommodated all tastes. The only slight negative (I guess because of the size of our Group) is the size of the pool area which is quite small. Overall I would definitely go back to this gem of a hotel!

Room tip: Rooms on upper floors with a sea view are fantastic

This hotel looks amazing and has all the facilities to be a great place to stay, but the service is terrible. We had to wait 10 mintes to get a table in the restaurant, 15-20 minutes for someone to take our order, and the food we got was not good at all. I
thought chiken curry would be a safe choise, but i was wrong. They also take 50% tip in advance??? Would not recommend this place.
