We stayed for our honeymoon sept 2018, and wow. The staff makes it worth the stay, they are just amazing. We stayed here and another hotel with more stars but the service here was better. I know they are reopening in a while, it was needed.. our room leaked and needed some reconstruction. But then we probably wouldn’t afford a stay here which truly was amazing because of the staff, the food and the beach. I hope you will use the same staff when reopening.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. The surroundings are beautiful and the staff super friendly. Especially Farida (towel service) and Will (watersport service) were so kind to us and deserve a big compliment for their hospitality.
Unfortunately this hotel is being rebuild for the next 2 years, and a big 5 star hotel is taking its place. So goodbye Merville , we had a blast!

Members of staff gave us the best, friendly service. Food was fine. Room was reasonably spacious and clean. Small beach without crowding and a good selection of watersports.
Good place to chill out and relax - It is not exhorbitantly expensive, if you get a good deal in advdance.
We arrived quite late due to the rain, around 8pm. Zaid was there to do our check in. Zaid really is amazing, he checks everything and do everything he can to satisfy the customers. We had a room on the main building which needs renovation, but based on TA comments, i was expecting much worse . The lift was under maintenance, so we had to climb 3 storeys to get to our room with our toddler. Zaid saw that it was very complicated for us, so we were upgraded to a bungalow room with direct view on the beach. That was amazing. The catering and F&B team is really good and dedicated to please the customers. They always welcome guests with smile, help them to hold their plates, refill water or wine... Thumbs up to all the team! We had such a good time at merville hotel. Theyve just closed to go under renovation and will reopen around september 20.
We spent 6 nights at the hotel and enjoyed all the surroudnings had to offer. It was at the end of our trip and so we were happy to vedge around the hotel on the beach and enjoy the tranquility of the ocean. The rooms and layout are in need of a little love and attention so the refurbishment coming up is well and truly needed. The staff were good and food was filling. We didn’t use the pool which was fairly family oriented.
The night life was good with the band and entertainment being different on each night and the sega night was extremely good.
The hotel is well situated and nearby Grand Bei and beaches are worth the walk, easy bus ride or taxi fair.
It was reasonable for the price and despite some air conditioning problems on day one and the island’s slowest lift, we had an enjoyable time.
All over very good and value for money. Each and every one of the staff was absolutely excellent and gave us the best service. Food very good. Room was spacious and very clean. Private beach, good weather (not windy as in the other areas).
