Bella Vista is sitting right at the center of the Grand bay. The Hotel offers beautiful view of Indian ocean. All rooms face the Bay area. Semicircular patch of lush green land surrounding the sea is a view to enjoy! The Hotel is centrally located and serves breakfast as a minimum. There are lot of restaurants around at walking distance offering global cuisine.
You can do North and South tours of Mauritius in two days and hotel is an ideal location being located almost mid way.

Staff is good, rooms are clean. A/c s though, need some refurbishments or maintenance.

OK. It's not 5 Star accommodation, far from it! The rooms are v basic, poor decor, etc. There's no room service, laundry or shuttle service, but it's clean, hospitable and on the beach!
I've stayed on business at Labourdonnais, Le Suffren and Baggatelle previously and although all v good hotels; if you want genuinely lovely local service, you'll be hard to find it elsewhere. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance.
The hotel is staffed by local people who are so friendly, helpful and kind. I'm so touched by the experience that I'll always stay here in future. I also noticed a lot of repeat visitors, many that are lone travelers from all nationalities, which tells me that there is something special about the place.
