We had very delightful time at this resort. Premium villa with pool at remote exclusive location. Very close to 2 biggest shopping centres at 5-10min drives. Friendly receptionist Heman make us feel welcome.

Check-in was awesome, early check-in was allowed & villa was already ready to move in as we informed them earlier that we will be arriving early. Villa (B-19) was also just amazing. They had shuttle service every 2-3 hrs for nearby areas where there other group resorts were located, this was a plus point as we don't have to spend for taxi. But, then there were few things which didn't go well during our stay. Firstly, swimming pool wasn't cleaned from the very first day & inspite of our daily reminders in our stay for 3 days, no one came for this. They always used to say that we are sending someone & keeps apolizing, but no person ever came during our stay. Although, after 2nd day, they did provide us evening snacks-drinks @ their La Plage beach resort, in the form of apology for not getting swimming pool cleaned up, but even on 3rd day also no one came up for cleaning the swimming pool. Secondly, breakfast only have breads & juice as options, nothing else & there was no restaurant inside the villa society. Thirdly, Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting at some intervals which was extreme irritating again. Fourthly, no AC in dining-living area, only fan. Fifthly, no drinking water was provided after 1st day & they don't even have markets in walking distance to buy the same. They should provide atleast 1 or 2 bottles daily with breakfast, i think. Overall, not so good not so bad kinda experience.

We are happy to hear that you were pleased with your Villa, and that you made full use of our shuttle service.

We have investigated the matter with the pool. Your pool was indeed a greenish colour due to the heavy rainfall and the run-off from the slow-fire product from the thatched roof- we apologize for this unfortunate incident. As was explained to you, we unfortunately do not have our pool team on call on Sunday evenings. The next morning, our pool team did indeed come to clean the pool and add the necessary products to restore its normal colour. However, these products take time to act, and once again we experienced heavy rainfall. This is when we extended our apologies and offered you a sundowner package as compensation for the bad luck. The next afternoon, when the rain finally stopped, the pool team returned to clean the pool and add the necessary products, and the pool was clear.

With regards to the breakfast, we offer a continental breakfast where we do indeed have bread and juice, but also pastries, tea, coffee, jams and butter.

Concerning the troublesome WiFi, this is somewhat out of our control. There were major works on the fibre optic cable in the Northern region and this paired with the heavy rains have affected the quality of the connection.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom villa for a week. Check in was a bit slow but ok in the end.Villa was really nice, cosy and comfy. Nice bedrooms with lovely showers and comfortable beds. Wifi was good inside the villa. The outside garden, chill out area and pool were fantastic. The villa was a bit tired in some places (some of the furnitures) and the pool was very cold however this did not spoil our enjoyment of the holiday. Breakfast is more than sufficient (croissant, pain au chocolat, bread, jam, butter, milk and local fruit juice) is delivered every morning by the villa maid (Thank you for looking after us Marinette).Villa is 5 minutes drive from La Croisette (great mall with restaurants, cinema: with some movies in version original, supermarket, shops, etc....) and 10 minutes from the centre of Grand Baie (found Grand Baie itself is a bit disappointing and touristy). Villas also have a private beach house (complimentary shuttle) on Trou aux Biches beach (really nice beach) with really lovely food and very nice, chatty and helpful staff (yes you pay for the sun lounger but it is worth it). We had a rental car which is necessary and allow for exploration of the local area (Mon Choisy beach, Goodlands and its market, cap Malheureux, Pereyberes Beach, etc....). Would probably stay at the Clos du Littoral again if I came back to this side of Mauritius.

Room tip: 3 bedrooms villa have bigger swimming pools and are quite spacious.

We were in a 3 bedroom villa and had a great time. A cosy place in a beautiful set up gives you the privacy you need to unwind. Nice breakfast. 5 min drive to La croisette mall. Sugar, tea, milk, coffee, liquid dishwasher and sponge are also available. Beds are very comfy and nice showers. Great sofa.

We were so happy to enjoy a 2 bedroom villa at Clos du Littoral for our stay at mauritius with our 2 kids.
We arrive at 4pm on thursday 31st and receive the key. Arriving at the villa location, we really surprise to see an old big generator running very noisy and smoking on the side of our villa, to provide power for a team of workers doing some jobs in the next house. We immediately advice the concierge it will not be possible to stay next to that noise, she reply of course i will ask them to stop. We enter the house and after 10 minutes, say again to the concierge nothing was done to shut off the noisy compressor. She said "oh, ok i managed that"...Trust me or not: she done nothing but leaves her office that close at 5pm! We tried to phone her several times at 5 and no reply. We were just here without any people to complain, enjoying the noise and the bad smell of fuel. Very unprofessionnal to leave clients like that. We finally find a security guy that tried to help us and see the work team, but reply that they will stop in half hour but restart tomorow morning for the day. How you can choose to rent a villa with that kind of disturbances! We immediately ask to change of house in a quiet area but of course security tell us he cannot do anything and we have to contact EVACO that manage rentings for the residence. it was 6pm. We succeed to reach someone by phone that said nothing was available at this time. Lucky us, the security guard told us he doesn't understand why they choose to put us in this area, and there is many other villas empty available. We argue that on the phone and ask to find a solution.
After 1 hour, we succeed to be relocated in a quiet area. After all this drama, and 3 hour lost, we finally happy to be there. Too fast conclusion!! When we decide to shower at night, we discover that there were no hot water available!!! bad luck continued
We ask security to call maintenance and check / took 1 hour for them to come and check and conclude that the tank water is empty - maybe we have to wait to have hot water. Of course after waiting we didn’t succeed to have hot water so we decide to report it to the next day to manage the problem. Next day they said to us they will try to fix it but without success. We complain again at the client service and said we lost our holiday time with these problem and want a refund - always the same usual formulas of courtesy! …and we never be phoned back again by the client service. So If you think about the time lost, the dirty private pool, the bad quality of shower equipment you can only be disappointed by paying near 300$ a night here. Most important is the lack of client service. Residence is also full of kittens coming at your home to ask some food....

Thank you for choosing to reside in our Villas during your holiday, and for taking the time to write a review.

We are saddened to hear about your negative experience during your stay.

We have liaised with our team and they have confirmed that the noise did start again after a request was made to stop the works. Consequently, this was why your request to move Villa was granted, and we apologize for this inconvenience upon your arrival.

We have also looked into your complaint regarding the hot water. A complaint was indeed received, and after our maintenance team did the necessary checks, it was explained to you that you needed to let the water run for a short moment before the water heater would kick in.

Concerning the cleanliness of the pool, our team didn’t receive a complaint regarding this matter. We would have taken the necessary steps and sent someone to clean it to the usual spotless standard.

With regards to the kittens, we are mindful of the problem and are taking steps to manage it. Being an ‘eco-conscious’ establishment, we are enforcing ‘soft’ solutions. We are also aware that although we are taking steps to resolve this problem, wild animals and the natural environment are somewhat out of our control.

In conclusion, we apologize for the shortcomings of our team in dealing with certain issues in a timely manner. This does not reflect the standard that we expect for our guests. We appreciate the candid feedback as it allows us to continually improve our level of service.

We hope to host you again in the near future so that we can redeem ourselves and show you the true Evaco Holiday experience.
