Back for our 4th visit, each time spending the first week in a different hotel, each time finding the Shandrani the best.
The food is always sublime, the best breakfast buffet going. The staff are kind, friendly and attentive.
The hotel layout is great, you can get away from it all in seconds, yet everything is a few minutes' walk away.
The sports are great.
The rooms are lovely, spacious and clean.
And all-inclusive just reduces the niggle of budgeting for drinks, having an afternoon snack.
When we arrive, it feels like home. And the wild beach is just fantastic.

We decided to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary at Shandrani having previously stayed at another Beachcomber hotel. We weren't disappointed.
Our party of 5 arrived at 9.30am, check in is 2pm. As showers and storage lockers are available we were on the beach within an hour.
Staff are friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble.
Many thanks to Sergio who arranged a wonderful beach dinner for the evening of our anniversary following many emails prior to our stay. Also for the birthday cake for my daughter.
We ate in all the restaurants. The quality and variety of food and drink is excellent. My son has a nut allergy and I have a food intolerance and Sergio made sure that the Executive Chef and all restaurants were aware of this prior to our arrival.
The hotel offered an experience to celebrate our anniversary and of the 5 options we chose the speedboat and paid extra for sole use for the day plus a picnic which was one of the best we have experienced.
We took advantage of the water ski-ing, pedalos, kayaks, gym, glass bottomed boat and played golf. My husband likes to walk and found a variety of routes in and around the resort.
Also a special mention for Patrick and Electra who looked after us on the beach.
We booked a taxi through the hotel to Mahebourg for market day (Mondays). A six-seater car cost 1,800 Rupees for the taxi driver to drop off and pick up after 2 hours.
A fabulous relaxing holiday with wonderful memories.

On our return journey home from ten days at The Shandrani. We had an incredible time made by all the friendly and helpful staff at the resort. We do want to make some special mentions; several individuals who were naturally welcoming and went out of their way to make sure our holiday was very special. As well as delivering excellent service we learnt about them and in turn more about the Mauritian way of life and history.
Christophe and Triyavesh, we were never without a drink when these two were around. Electra and Patrick, kept us fed and watered on our long lazy beach days and found us food when we missed lunch! Last but very much not least Juliano. Great conversations at dinner each night. He showed us incredible hospitality.
