If you are looking for a convenient spot near Binghamton University - this propery fits the bill. It is beginning to show its age some, but the staff is very nice, and rooms were clean. I have stayed here twice while on business in the area, and would recommend it for those traveling nearby

Once a year we drive through Binghamton and last year we decided to make it an overnight pit stop. After our very disappointing stay at the Holiday Inn Express last year, we were reminded that we like & are always comfortable staying at Marriott properties.

Our room was clean and quiet.

Turns out it was a crowded night due to graduation at Cornell University, but even so the breakfast staff kept the breakfast room moving nicely and even pulled out some activity sheets for my kids to play with as we had our coffee. We didn't get to use the indoor pool, but it looked clean and we'll try it next year!

When first booking our trip, they did not have any rooms so we booked another place that we thought was good. Turns out it some brands had done some switching since we lived there 11 years ago. Luckily when we walked out of our booked hotel as soon as we saw our room, the Courtyard had one left! The room was very small, but very very clean, comfy and safe. You can pretty much guarantee that with Marriott.

Next time if there's nothing available when we book, we will call and beg!

We usually stay at the Residence Inn when we visit our family here, but that hotel was booked so we stayed here at the Courtyard. Obviously not as spacious as the two-bedroom Residence unit, the rooms here were comfortable. The hotel was packed when we arrived - there was a dance competition going on in the area. But the hallways were relatively quiet, so we slept fine. The front desk accommodated our request to have adjoining rooms, even though on the phone they couldn't guarantee it.

Our room had a king bed and was spacious enough for an air mattress for my son. The windows opened, which was nice to have fresh air. There was a coffee maker in the room, and the lobby also had free coffee and tea.
The pool is very small, but when no one else is in there, it's fun for a quick dip. There is also a hot tub, which we enjoyed.

Breakfast is not free but is the same type of buffet you get at other hotels for free; cereal, eggs, sausage, etc. I would skip it and head across the street to IHOP.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel for single rooms, but the Residence Inn for a group traveling together.

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the Binghamton University campus, and its reasonable rate. We were not disappointed – it came out above par on both!

The hotel is just outside one of the entrances to the college – we were quickly able to access the university brain and even able to walk through the nature preserve. There are lots of places to eat in walking distance from the hotel – including Denny’s, IHOP and Chuckie Cheese. There were lots of gas stations to fill up the car. Parkway access was right off vestal parkway to get to Johnson City to Wegmans and Oakdale mall.

The rooms were spacious and clean. We had a double. We liked that there was an extra sink outside the bathroom so a couple people could get ready at the same time. Parking was free and right outside. The beds were comfortable, and the room was quiet – we didn’t hear our neighbors or anyone walking in the corridor so I guess the walls are quite thick.

We really enjoyed our stay, and will definitely stay there again on our next trip up!
