My wife and I had a great time at the tour. It is a guided tour. I signed up for the photo tour and my wife joined with the standard tour. The photo tour allows you to interact more with the sets while they take photos of you with your phone/camera.
The sets are amazing. The attention to detail is spot on and our tour guide passed along info that we did not know. I'm a life-long Trekkie and definitely learned a few new things :)
Once the tour is complete, you will find the gift shop is also part Star Trek museum.
I don't think you need to know a lot about TOS to enjoy this. Just to be "on the set" of the show that started it all is really cool!
A stunning achievement that Trekkies should taks the time to visit. The original Star Trek set has been recreated to a meticulous degree and the tours are very informative. It would be fair to say this is the Star Trek Hall of Fame.
Star Trek Original Series Set Tour is an amazing place, especially when William Shatner is there. Anyone who loves the original Star Trek has to go there and be blown away. The detail is amazing and the sets are complete recreations built using the original blueprints.
The reproductions and original props elicited a 'wow' from each in our tour group upon entering the first room. What other place can boast that?
This place is worth the trip for any fan of the original series of Star Trek whether they are devout Trekkers or casual fans. I’ve loved Star Trek for nearly 50 years and have always dreamed of being on the Enterprise. This place made that dream come true with a perfectly reconstructed set, based on the original Desilu blueprints. From standing in the transporter to sitting in ‘the’ chair, it was incredibly satisfying and a life moment I never thought possible. Thanks to everyone that made this place a must-do stop.
If you ever watched the original Star Trek, you need to stop here and visit. I felt like a kid again and at the age of 59, that’s not easy to do. Our tour guide was awesome and knew a lot about the sets and how they were used. It is a must stop for all Star Trek lovers
