Made dinner reservations for a group of six and walked in 5 minutes before our reservation. The place is very small and we’ve been there before, so we’re aware of that.
The problem is that they literally don’t have a place to stand once you walk through the door of the restaurant. You immediately find yourself standing at a server station and in the way of the staff. It’s pretty awkward when they don’t acknowledge you at all, simply working around you without making any eye or verbal contact.
The bartender is excellent and if he spots you, you’re warmly greeted and taken care of. During this evening he was busy with a full bar, so it literally took about 7 minutes of ducking around the staff before somebody said anything.
The food here is very good and we’ve always had a good meal, but the wait staff can range from adequate to very good, and during this visit it was just adequate.
It’s definitely tight quarters in here and I wish that they weren’t located in this little spot, especially on a busy evening.
