I admit it. I'm a NYC pizza snob. I'm of the "thin crust" school of thought and tradition. After an exhausting day we decided to order pizza from Michelangelo. I was hesitant. But hunger won out. What a great surprise! The pizza was excellent. Not to thin, not to thick, just right! We ordered a white pizza - really lovely and mellow. A bit too cheesy for my, but everyone else didn't find it too much. We also ordered a grandma pizza with sausage. Absolutely, hands down, amazing. We fought over who would have the leftovers for breakfast the next day.
Foodie notes: The cheese was very fresh. The mozzarella in particular was lovely and light. Sauce had a really great balance to it with a hint of garden fresh tomato sweetness. Think about making sauce from your garden tomatoes - that's what it tasted like. The dough was also light. Even with a 15 minute ride back to the house, the crust stayed nice and crispy.
Totally worth trying. Enjoy!
