This B&B's screen house offers a fund compromise between camping an a hotel with friendly service and a price that's not much more than camping. It's a great place to stay to enjoy this corner of the Adirondacks!

We were hoping to go tent camping in the Schroon Lake area, but the weather was not cooperating, so we decided to find a B&B. Laura was able to accommodate us in one of her outdoor screen houses located right next to a beautiful flowing stream!!! We were able to have our wish of being outdoors, but it was totally upgraded with a cozy bed and roof over our head. In the evening, she even had a campfire for us to make s'mores! The breakfast that we woke to was homemade, healthy, delicious and plentiful and it included: a fruit bowl, french toast, bacon, Laura's specialty yogurt, juice, coffee and tea. Laura has spoiled us to the point that we may be screen housing it in the future when we want to go tent camping! We look forward to staying a Rocky Acres B&B again!!!

Rocky Acres B+B is absolutely fabulous! My Wife had tried quite unsuccessfully to get a room for us in the Schroon Lake area for ONLY 1 night; because EVERYONE ELSE in the local area maintain a 2 night stay minimum we were out of luck. Laura has a quiet oasis here. Our room was immaculately tidy, clean, and homey. We came up to pick up our Granddaughter from Camp Saturday at 0800am. We live in Northwest Connecticut, and a 3 hour plus drive would've made for a much longer day than necessary. The WONDERFUL people at the Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce strongly recommended Laura. She went out of her way to accomodate our schedule by providing a FABULOUS Breakfast at 0700am. You must stay here. You won't be sorry.

We stayed at Rocky Acres during a particularly stressful time in our lives this summer. We needed an inexpensive place to stay - at the last minute - at the peak of the tourist season. What we found was a peaceful retreat, with a welcoming hostess!
We stayed in a rustic camper that is situated in a private clearing just a short walk from the Inn. At night we heard only the nearby brook and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. The sky was bursting with stars, since there are no town lights to interfere. We awoke to the numerous songbirds and the occasional Loon calling.
The owner of Rocky Acres Inn, Laura, went above and beyond to help provide anything we needed, from an umbrella to a camping lantern. We noticed simple acts of kindness, like a new power cord placed where we sat to use a laptop on her porch, and a hummingbird feeder placed in view.
Our stay included options like whether to cook our own breakfast over our campfire or Coleman stove, or walk over to the Inn for a delicious full breakfast. We had use of a clean spacious outhouse, but were able to upgrade to hot showers at the Inn when we wanted.
Laura is a lifelong resident of this area, and was able to provide us with extensive information and helpful tips.
Overall, we found that she was attuned to our needs, and was able to think outside the box at times to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

Very big comfortable bed, so we were well rested for the FANTASTIC BREAKFAST Laura served. Soothing environment enhanced by the waterfall and babbling creek.
Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!!!
