Stayed for one night. I really enjoy the Hampton. Conveniently located downtown by restaurants and shops. Staff is always so friendly and remembers returning guests. Parking is nice. Free breakfast is great as well

Went for Union College visit with the family. Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, quiet rooms for being downtown, many food options close by. Parking lot is small and confusing when full at late arrival. Just find any safe spot to park and hope for the best. It worked for us on this visit.
Complimentary breakfast was subpar, food was not refilled in a timely manner for a service based business. Not impressed.
Staff was friendly and courteous to us.

The hotel, though simply decorated, was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the on-site parking, proximity to Proctor's Theater (one of the theater's exits shares the hotel property) and hot breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: 3rd floor view of entrance and an angled view of State Street. Some rooms faced an alley with a view of a brick building, not good.

The hotel needs remodeling bad. Moldy showers, drab colors. Just old and dated. They will have a lot of competition coming soon with the new casino. Better get a head start. We have stayed here before, didn't remember how old it looked. Not worth the price.

Room smelled awful and was a bit worn, first floor smelled overwhelmingly like chlorine, they started to clear breakfast early, many staff would show up before breakfast was complete to serve themselves. Overall, this was not up to Hampton Inn standards, where we stay with regularity
