Went to 2 West for Friday happy hour recently. Can't beat the BOGO drink prices and there is a great draft beer selection from local breweries. Had the breakfast burger, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Service and prices were very good. I recommend 2 West for happy hour and the burgers!

Took advantage of Saratoga's Spring Restaurant week to try a new food establishment, west of the main downtown cluster of restaurants (and not having the parking challenges of downtown!). Located downstairs on the ground floor of an apartment complex at the intersection of West Avenue and Church Street - 2 West Bar & Grille.
An overall a great meal. Companion started the evening with an excellent Mule cocktail, which at $8.50 was both generous and reasonable for Saratoga, where cocktails go for $10-15. Appetizers chosen were the Apple Fennel Arugula Salad, which was generous in proportions (suffice for two), great presentation, and excellent taste. The apple, fennel was very finally shaved, with numerous roasted candied walnuts mixed in the baby arugula, plus a large piece of grilled Brie and finished with a Apple Cider Vinaigrette. The second appetizer was 3 Pork Belly Buns, sort of pork belly sliders, stuffed with Jicama Asian Slaw, Gochujang, and a Turmeric House Pickle all in toasted mini-buns, an interesting mix of flavors, although companion thought the pork could have been a little more tender. Only complaint, not just of this establishment of dishes, but in general is the lack of salt or use there of, because of modern day health concerns.
For Entrees, we choose the Beef Stoganoff and Steak Frites. The Beef Stroganoff consisted of lots of tender beef tips in a light mushroom, onion, Dijon Mustard, Cream Fraich sauce over al dente noodles. The portion size was such, that a third went home for lunch the next day. The Steak Frites - The meat was prepared as per request (Rare - which is a challenge for most chefs/kitchens) served with nicely parmesan seasoned steak fries, and roasted Broccoli Rabe. There was a House Steak Sauce, which had been requested on the side, told that there was none, but did show up on the plate in the end.
For desserts, we chose the Chocolate Flourless Cake and Vanilla Cheese Cake, unlike the Chocolate Mousse which is made in house, the cakes are locally sourced, and again generous portions, beautiful presentation and very good taste - as a true New Yorker and baker of cheese cakes myself, very hard to please, the cheese cake satisfied this discerning customer.
The server (Sandy) was very pleasant, friendly and attentive. The establishment had a modern, quasi-outdoor vibe (Part of a consortium of restaurants including BWP and Wheatfields). Companion liked the low volume and choice of music. There is seasonal outdoor seating with a beautiful lit fire pit, which will beckon us back when the weather is more conducive to drinks and dinning - especially with Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 3pm-7pm and Sunday BOGO all day. We hope to sample their Family Meals to go for $25 in the future.

We live around the corner but never visited as it's outside of town and there are so many options in town...but we had a $5 coupon so we gave it a shot, and we were so pleasantly surprised by the clean, comfortable, open atmosphere...and the food was really, really good at a fair price...big emphasis on "local" sourcing. There was also a nice looking bar with some comfy sofa's where you can watch sports, so I'll be back for that as well. The craft beers were a little pricey for Saratoga (which is kind of saying a lot), but that was my only complaint. Kitsa was our server and did a great job.

A little off the downtown area about a mile away is this gem of a place to grab anything your heart desires- pizza-burgers-or specialty entrees with a home cooking vibe is sure to please. Whether a romantic date or a livelier get together with friends- this welcoming eatery hits all the right marks- and they are reasonably priced too! This was my second visit in the last three months and I was still very pleased with the ambiance, service and food- they met the triple threat that all hungry people are in search of!

Thank you for stopping in I'm so happy you liked it! We're about a month in to our new menu and the feedback has been great! If you haven't tried it, my favorite addition is the Pork Belly slider appetizer. Thanks again for the review. Ask for me next time you're in!
