We recently took advantage of Longfellows "Romance Package" overnight which includes a suite hotel room with a loft bedroom, Jacuzzi, bottle of champagne and chocolates upon arrival, a 4 course dinner at their restaurant, and continental breakfast the following morning.

First - the highlights:
The 4 course dinner and service was absolutely outstanding. The restaurant itself is on multiple levels, with a decor that reflects the Adirondacks (Post and Beam, hardwood floors, and multiple fireplaces throughout) providing a rustic setting, comfortable, yet elegant and bordering on luxurious. The staff was attentive, most notably with our server, Rebecca, who was knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and accommodating. The four course meal includes everything on the menu, with a choice of several appetizers, salad, main course, and dessert. The food was impressive in its presentation, taste, and portion size. I opted for the mozzarella bruschetta, while my wife chose the sausage stuffed mushroom caps as an appetizer. Both were excellent and bountiful. We both opted for the Beef Wellington special, and the size and tenderness of the filet mignon was perfect, and the puff pastry and pate complimented the meat in outstanding fashion. Also, they included a delicious baked potato, cubed squash and a few pieces of tender asparagus. We augmented the meal with a half bottle of Pinot Noir for an additional $22, (liquor is extra, understandably, but there are a choices for all tastes and budgets available on the menu). We also both opted for the creme brûlée dessert, which was also impeccably prepared. Rebecca answered all of our questions about our order, brought each course promptly without rushing the meal, checked back with us from time to time about our satisfaction as we ate each course, cleared dishes, and (importantly for me) refilled our water glasses routinely throughout the meal when they were about half empty, without ever being asked. We will at least dine there again, and when we do, we will ask for her to be our server.

The room was comfortable and clean. In particular, the bed was large and luxurious. We both slept soundly. The bottle of champagne and chocolates were delicious, and the champagne was properly chilled, waiting for us on ice well before we checked in.

Now for the criticism:
The jacuzzi is a standard sized tub. OK for one person, certainly, but being 6'3" myself, not as comfortable for 2 as other B&Bs where we have stayed before. That said, it was impeccably clean, which is important to us.
The suite had 2 TVs. The one in the main area did not work properly and when we called the front desk to ask for help, we were advised to unplug it and then plug it back in. After doing this a few times and seeing the "booting" screen come up but then not working, we gave up. Interestingly, a guest critique note was left from the previous guests, and they also noted problems with the TV. But, there was another TV in the bedroom, so I would not describe this as a major problem. We mentioned the problem to the manager when we checked out the next morning, and she apologized, noting that the person on duty in the evening is not technically oriented.
There was also an occasional "clicking" noise in the wall, most likely from the heating system. It was a slight annoyance, but when we moved from the living room to the loft bedroom, it was hardly noticeable, and certainly not a major dissatisfier. The area where we stayed was in the same building as the restaurant, and it is an older structure, although updated decor and modern, but with buildings of this age, things like this are not uncommon.
The continental breakfast the next morning was fresh, with a nice selection of fresh fruits, juices, coffee, teas, and pastries / english muffins, as well as "make your own waffles". The staff was refreshing the items routinely, and it was what you would expect for a light fare on the morning of departure.

The Inn and Restaurant are located out of the main part of Saratoga Springs, but only a short drive or cab ride into town, and just down the street from the Track if you are planning a visit in the racing season. We were there in November, off season, and just doing a quick overnight getaway birthday celebration, and it was perfect and well worth the $265 package price (plus liquor and please don't forget to tip the server and leave something for the room cleaning staff, who do a nice job as well!)

Net: We both had a relaxing and very enjoyable overnight and would do it again.

We stay here every time we come to Saratoga for Regattas. Beautiful, comfortable beds, conveniently located near the Lake.
The only suggestion I do have is that a microwave in the room and more counter space in the bathroom is needed!
Also breakfast should include more protein options otherwise I would give this 5 stars!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much on our 1st Anniversary we went back for our 10th Anniversary . We were immediately greeted with fresh baked cookies to hold us over until our dinner. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, and always smiling. We had the massage package and it was the best massage I've ever had! Our dinner was
amazing and the atmosphere is exceptional. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and I loved the jacuzzi tub. We Are already looking forward to our next stay.

Doing the leaves changing color thing and stayed here for a night. The room was at a bargain price, but was much more room than the money paid for it. A big roomy bathroom with separate shower and tub. Big room. Very clean and comfortable.
Dinner at their restaurant was very good. Best Kobe Beef burger I have ever had. cooked perfectly, wow.

The only drawback was the morning breakfast. It seemed they were short staffed or something. Tables were full of dirty plates, no silverware to be found. It seemed like the person working the front desk was also doing the breakfast room. While brave in her efforts, waaaay to much work for one person.

In any other situation, I would down grade the hotel for this. but everything else was so good and the gal was really trying to cover two places at one time.

The big question is would I stay here again? Absolutely.

Stayed this past October for my nieces wedding. The venue was so quaint and beautiful. Our rooms were exceptional. Clean and every amenity was met. The staff was always so helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area of Saratoga Springs. Breakfast was just enough to carry you through till lunch and there was always hot coffee all day and night. Would love to revisit again soon
