What a difference in service and attentiveness from the previous restaurant that was here Leon's. The New Blue Agave had a friendly hostess and our waitress was very attentive and drinks were served up quick. We had the $5 blue agave margaritas which were fine, but my husband liked his mojito. We both loved that there were short ribs on the menu so he had the short rib enchiladas with red sauce and i had the short rib tacos. we both loved them. It does cost extra to add rice and beans, but honestly i would have been full after the three tacos they serve. Overall a good experience and we will definitely check them out again. the taco options are worth going back alone. Salsas served with the chips were good as well.

Had dinner at Blue Agave on Friday night of April Fools Day. Bobbie our server was wonderful. my drink-vodka mojito $9-was a vodka club soda with a mint leaf and a dry lime wedge. not quite a mojito. I just drank it anyways-figured new bartender? I asked for my entree without the sour cream sauce slathered on top-it then it came with the sauce. Bobbie took the plate back and brought me a new one within 10 minutes. Tortilla chips were unseasoned and perhaps from a bag-but the salsa was good. the tacos were very very good. Ok, fine-excellent. The tacos were excellent. The decor was non-existent, which is fine with me...it's not a modern art museum. Every aspect of customer service was 100%. I have no problem with food/drinks being imperfect-it's all about the experience. This restaurant is definitely going places.

Loving Mexican food we were happy to learn that a new place had opened in Saratoga. The signage is small, the building kind of non-descript. Hostess was pleasant and seated us immediately as we walked by a very busy bar on this Saturday night. Our server, Stephanie, was very knowledgeable, friendly and gave us just the perfect amount of attention. I do not often write super positive reviews, but this place definitely earned our praises from start to finish. We started with the Blue Agave margarita and a Cucumber Jalapeno Margarita. Both were excellent. Chips and salsa are complimentary and plentiful; refilled along with waters by 2 young people that were very attentive; a VERY nice touch. We struggled with our menu choices as there were several we were interested in. Stephanie helped us out, giving us her opinions and also sharing what other customers and staff had shared with her. We settled on Crispy chicken mole, which was so good I could have licked the plate. The sauce, wow!!!! My only suggestion might be to have this sauce on a non-fried chicken as well. Beans and slaw that accompanied was also very good. The other entrée sampled were tacos- fish taco and short rib were chosen when we learned we could mix them up. 3 generous tacos appeared along with the rice and beans we added. All were delicious, well seasoned and very filling. An order of guacamole was also ordered, very good as well. At the end of the meal, the chef stopped by our table, he was genuinely interested in what we had to say. We will be back very soon!

We tried Blue Agave mainly because it was new, and were so happy that we did. It's bright and cheerful, with great food and margaritas. The short rib empanadas were terrific. We'll definitely be back.

The old Leon's is open again and more than worth a visit;
A good selection of appetizers highlighted by several Queso Fundidos; we had the Chorizo variation which was tasty without being overly spicy. The old reliable entrees like beef tacos and steak fajitas were high quality and plenty of food; if anything, too plentiful(you get three(3!!) enchiladas)
Modelo Especial is on tap, a big plus, since any knowledgable
Mexican beer drinker knows that it, and not Corona) is that brewery's premium lager. The 5 star rating was clinched by one of the best flans ever: coffee with strawberries and shards of pecan brittle.
On the down side, this is the third new bar restaurant this year that does not have a foot railing, no big deal for normal people but a problem for handicapped like me; sit on a high stool, you don't want your leg to hang.
Reasonable priced, clean and family friendly, well worth a visit!
