Don't look any further! The Fox Inn is a beautiful historical treasure. The rooms are very attractive, comfortable and clean. The charming town of Penn Yan is only steps away. The owners are friendly and provide superb service. Their sons are a delight! And, you'll never get a better breakfast in an Inn! We loved it so much we're going back in October.

Room Tip: We like the room in the back of the home.

Inn is a beautifully maintained building from 1820s with lots of period and other fine furniture. Hosts are very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious, bed is comfortable and bathroom is well appointed. Enjoyed sitting on the large verandah and watching a storm roll down the main street followed by fabulous double rainbow. The hosts gave us a nice list of restaurants to eat at and the one we chose was quite good.
Breakfast is served at two times and the menu should satisfy most if not all tastes. The menus are environmentally friendly as you use an erasable marker to mark your choice on the laminated menus.
Breakfast consists of the usual caffeinated beverages followed by choice of starters and extensive list of mains(the Fresh Belgium Waffles are served either Plain or with warm fruit in a warm fruit syrup and whipped cream and were looked amazing / the Fox Trotta ( variation on a frittata in 3 varieties) was served piping hot with a side of salsa.

The homemade cookies etc. for the road were a nice touch(cookies were delicious!!!!)

All in all a great place to stay and would gladly stay there again.

Had the most wonderful stay at The Fox Inn! Very friendly and accommodating hosts, A beautiful historic house located in the center of town so a 2 min walk to coffee shop and restaurants. The breakfast was so delicious and they offer you a menu to suit your dietary needs. They were happy to give us all the info we needed for sightseeing in the area and even on our depart gave us a gift and some delicious homemade cookies! Thanks so much Tanya and Mike and your lovely family for making our stay delightful!

My husband, I and 12 year old son stayed in the carriage house of this inn for a full week this summer. The innkeepers are super friendly and the carriage house is perfect for a small family looking for a central location from which to experience Finger Lakes. The accommodations allow for relaxed breakfasts and dinners when we aren't on the road. The location of Penn Yan allows for easy access to both the west and east Finger Lakes activities of wine tasting, kayaking, biking and hiking. Great!

Room Tip: Being an Inn, normally this only serves couples, but if you ask for the Carriage House you have room for 2 parents and 2 children.

This was far and away the finest bed and breakfast inn I've stayed at. The room was comfortable and the antiques made me feel like I had fallen into a time warp and was the lady of the manor. Of course the real lady of the manor was our hostess Tanya Oliver whose hospitality, friendliness, and great cooking just added to what made this experience special. I will add that we enjoyed the charming town of Penn Yan and its surroundings.
