Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Reviews on Booking.com gave this hotel a rating of 7.6 out of 10 with nice photos.
Woken up at 3.30am with mouse eating our bag of potato chips on table at end of bed. Rang reception and the lady said she would “attempt to put in a work call”. Then mouse walks across table - we were terrified. Then reception would not answer phone. Also a smell of hash coming from nearby. My advice: avoid Peekskill unless you are a rodent lover.
Yes we got a refund.

The views from the hotel were beautiful and staff was great otherwise would give this a 1. The rooms were in bad shape, not very clean, towels were dingy gray. Never did get hot water to the bathroom sink even letting it run for 15 minutes. Only stayed one night and left for another hotel. I do have pictures and a video but unsure of posting.

Was planning to stay with my girlfriend in Peekskill overnight, and their website looked great. Got their and it didn't look as nice as on line. The person at the desk was perfectly nice and directed us to our room.On the way we noticed there quite a few transients living at the hotel, constantly outside smoking.
The size of the room and the bed were fine, though the room was a little dirty. The air conditioner in our room wasn't working properly, so we went back down to the front desk. The woman said that the maintenance person was not there, but she would call him for a recommendation on what she might be able to do. We asked if we could change rooms, but she said no because we already used it (we took showers) and they wouldn't be able to re-sell it. Ridiculous!
I would not recommend staying there unless it was your only choice.

The view of the Hudson was beautiful and the location was conveniently just off Route 9.
But otherwise this place was a disaster, most residents were homeless single women placed here, plus a few hapless European tourists and a few domestic visitors like us who wandered in. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. But no amenities of any source, shades but no curtains, no cable tv, no water or snacks even for sale, no tourist info. The pool was beautifully sited but out of service and with no prospect of reopening, despite notices to its imminent reopening. No landscaping and rough surfaces on the pavement. The continental breakfast served from 5:30 to 8:30 (should have been an indicator) was tired bunches of grapes, cereal and packaged bagels and danish. At breakfast we overheard a drug counselor giving a pep talk to one of the residents about staying clean, putting quite a damper on our meal. Oddly the attached Italian seafood restaurant had great food and was mobbed by locals; apparently not connected to the motel despite the location. It was boisterous but very good food, no wine list but beer and mixed drinks.
Avoid this place completely. Stick to the name chains here or avoid Peekskill completely.

Not a good experience. We were driving around the Westchester area and decided to stay overnight before going back to NYC. We found this place online and it sounded too good to be true. Reasonable price, beautiful view of the Hudson. We were tired and decided to have drinks and dinner at the restaurant which was right below our room. Food was OK, not fantastic. (I will say the stuffed mushrooms were very good.) Very leisurely and relaxing, watching the sun set as we enjoyed our meal. We got up to our room, then the trouble started. The bar featured karaoke and someone was doing a reasonable Sinatra during dinner. But when we got to our room, we could still hear the singing and the bass beat--loudly. We complained to the front desk and the dishonest clerk lied and said "Oh, they don't stay late. I've never seen anybody stay past midnight." She should have told us when we checked in about the bar. It was Friday night so naturally they're going to stay open till all hours.

Long story short, the loud music continued till midnight and beyond. We called the nearest Holiday Inn, made a reservation, went downstairs and demanded a refund. (BTW, there were people hanging out right outside our door drinking beer, so it was obvious this was nighttime, party place.) There were about 20 patrons carrying on in the bar, belting out Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" with no signs of letting up or going home anytime soon.

The lying clerk we dealt with had ended her shift and the new desk clerk was much more helpful. He apologized and explained the bar/restaurant had nothing to do with the hotel and he had no control over it. He would be happy to refund our money and offered to help find a different hotel. We explained we already had an alternative place to stay and we drove off without a major scene. The Holiday Inn was more expensive, but worth it for the peace and quiet.

Final point: when your room is above the bar, check out immediately!
