“In a midle of everything”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 June 2012

Located 300ft from the main squear of Fira, the capital village of the island...
Very good choice for the once who wanna be active in night life, all bars and clubs are next door.
Main buss station is 200ft away, the caldera or cliff is 300ft away, TAXI station is 230ft away.
There is no luxury facilities, got pool, AC, TV, and more....
Only breakfast served bat! you are 300ft away from about 60 restaurants....
Eastern rooms are next to main street and may be a bit of noise bat 80% of them are by the pool
and there is peace...
The most important thing about is the friendly owners and the wiling to serve.........

The kindness of the owner of this hotel in rising at 5 am to take us to the airport was something we will not forget. This hotel is exceptional for the price - close to everything Santorini has to offer. Everything we needed was at hand and though the breakfast was unusually small one should keep things in perspective - so was the price! We would recommend this hotel as a more than adequate stay.

We stayed here for 2 nights. For what you are paying for it is very good. The beds were a little on the old side but not too bad. The rooms were quite small but who wants to be indoors when you stay in Santorini? There was a nice little pool and we didn't see anyone else while we were out there. The free breakfast was limited but the staff was quick with service. I think the location was great for how much you spend. The street behind the hotel had a lot of tourist shops with souveniers and delicious restaurants. There was a little grocery shop with cheap bottled water down the street. The caldera view was just a couple minute walk from your front door. If you aren't set on having a caldera view I would recommend this hotel for a cheap stay with a great location.

The hotel wasn't the best but it was okay. Breakfast was pretty bad; a spongecake, toast with sachets and a glass of orange juice. The hotel was quite close to everything, but on a busy street. On the upside the staff were helpful. We went to call a taxi and the guy (may have been the owner) offered to drive us to the port instead and wouldn't even accept a tip!

The service was terrible. This appears to be a family run hotel, but they had no interest in helping us with bags or providing beach towels or advice on restaurants, etc. They also failed to advise guests that there was a two day ferry strike, asking only when we were checking out how we were leaving the island. Luckily our travel agent had advised us and we were able to organise alternative transport. They did offer to book tours however and they did book a trip to the volcano and hot spring on our behalf.

Our room (2) was quite large with a double and single bed. The double bed squeaked with even the slightest movement making for a terrible night's sleep. There was a balcony but it had no outdoor furniture, though we were able to use it to hang up a clothes line. The lighting in the room was practically useless - the fittings hung too low and the globes were too low a wattage. The breakfast room too was very dark and the girl was constantly walking around and turning off lights as people left. The curtains were closed everytime we went into reception/the breakfast room.

Breakfast itself was limited. A glass of cordial, tea and coffee, a few slices of cake and a basket of toast. The toast was not made fresh when you arrived, so it was cold everyday. Everything was served to you, there was no buffet style which was the arrangement in every other hotel we stayed at during a 4 week European holiday.

The room was clean however when the rooms were cleaned the bathroom window and door were left open meaning we had mosquitoes in the room most nights.

We didn't even bother checking out the pool area as we had no desire to spend anymore at the hotel than was necessary.

The location is very good, just around the corner from the bus station and short walk to all amenities and sights. However, overall it is a dark, dank hotel - we would recommend spending extra money in Santorini to have a hotel on the caldera.
