The lower level of the Burt Hotel in an interesting combination of late-night bar and restaurant, although the kitchen primarily puts out only bar food for those who are hungry. The bar itself (up front) is a bit on the cramped side, with about 5-6 small booth-like tables and room for another dozen folks at the bar. It is almost entirely local folks, so the back room doesn't really have a chance to fill up too much. The back room holds a pool table, darts machine, and a punching bag machine (yes...a punching bag machine) that lets patrons wallop something with their fist at fifty cents a pop. (Better than hitting another customer, plus it gives a digital readout of your best knockout punch.)
This place may not be the greatest night-life spot in the world, but it is kind of fun and definitely entertaining, especially if you want to get to know the locals. I would go back if in the area, but not as a special trip.
