Known for its world class climbing, the Mohonk Preserve is loved by locals for many reasons. The steep south facing side has the rock formations everyone knows, the more gradually sloping north side offers fantastic views of the Catskills. There are many carriage trails and you don't have to rock scramble if you don't want to. The dwarf pitch pines at the top of the rocks are always beautiful.
