Spectacular views, very nice Bed and Breakfast. Nothing against the place. Breakfast was good, room was comfy. The Internet connection was poor, water pressure was low. The bed was nice, just a bit on the firm side. We stayed in the Bristol Suite

Thank you Mr. Alan for your review.
Being in the middle of the country on top of a hill can have a few disadvantages but we are very happy that you enjoyed the wonderful things our little house does offer.
Thank you for your review and we do hope to see you again.

Our third visit to the Vagabond was as great as the first two! Its beautiful inside and out. The views are spectacular. The rooms are wonderful, cozy, and clean. Love soaking in a tub under the stars! Breakfast is always delicious!! Already planning trip 4 :)

This was my wife and mine's second trip this year to the Vagabond Inn. We stay in the beautiful Bristol Room which gives you the beautiful view of the whole mountain. But the main reason we came back and will continue to come, is Penny, the owner. We now, in only two visits, consider Penny a friend. We enjoy sitting around her kitchen bar and just talking. The breakfasts in the morning are great and the coffee is always on and hot.

My husband and I couldn't have had a more wonderful stay. Penney ( the owner) greeted us upon arrival and we immediately knew this was not only an Inn, but her and her husbands home and passion. The common area when you walk in exudes warmth, and is decorated from the heart of the owners. The center of this area leads you immediately sit down at a table/stool area which you can have coffee and talk with whoever is in the kitchen area. Penney and Dave's staff also were kind and helpful. Joe was an awesome breakfast cook! Penney showed us the Inn and our room providing everything we might need to know. We arrived at 3:30 pm and cookies were being baked for guests. We stayed on the Garden Suite. Lovely, cozy and best of all, the inn was quiet for a restful night. Breakfast was made to order and the most enjoyable breakfast we ever had at a bed and breakfast. Great company with Penney, Dave and other guests. The inn is beautiful, inviting and truly a "Work of Heart" by Penney and Dave!

My wife and I stayed at the Vagabond Inn the weekend of June 11, 2016 for our anniversary - we received a gift certificate for Christmas and this was a wonderful opportunity to use it. Our stay was wonderful and relaxing. We stayed in the Bristol Suite, and as other reviews have mentioned, it was a touch dated (think late 80's/early 90's pink and mauve). Owners have and are steadily making updates. But comfort and quality were key to everything there. Penny was great and made a superb breakfast, and was also very kind in giving us the history and background of the place (believe me, it is a good story). Just FYI - if you see a slew of bad reviews from about a year or more ago, this is when it was under the old owners. Give the place a chance - it was well worth it. We have been telling all of our friends in the ROC area about it.

Room Tip: Bristol Suite is the premier - has its own jacuzzi, baclony with mountain views, and a second outside seating area poolside.
