Description: Located on the top of a hill overlooking Mount Kisco, La Camelia Restaurant offers a European country farmhouse where guests enjoy authentic Spanish and Portuguese dishes, a large menu of tapas, and an abundant selection of wines & ports. Patrons can either choose to come and enjoy the casual "tapas tap room" or choose a quiet, fine dining experience, where traditional Iberian dishes are served. The ingredients are always fresh, and grown on the premises when the season permits.

If you are in the mood for a taste of Spain, La Camelia will not disappoint. Comfortable restaurant with a varied menu. Nice people - family run restaurant. Reminds me of Spain. Desserts are delicious too. Try the sangria.

La Camelia is a very good international restaurant, family run with a very good family chef, and for the most part excellent food and service, a wide-choice menu and delicious specials. It is located on top of a hill in the center of town, lovely looking place with very nice ambiance. We have been enjoying their meals for many years.

This restaurant offers some of the finest Spanish cuisine I have ever tasted, and the service is also terrific. But back to the food. I had the skate, which is some of the best skate I've ever tasted. Others in our group raved about the paella with its authentic flavors and wonderful shellfish. We had four tapas, and all were delightful, from the cod croquettes, to the chorizo, to the fritatta, to the eggplant. We had a homemade cake with fresh fruit and cream for dessert. It melted in your mouth. The sangria was also some of the best I've ever had. A thoroughly enjoyable and delicious meal. We'll be back! Do not miss this special traet!

Our party of six arrived at La Camelia at 6:20pm on Friday. We were seated immediately and the waiter took our order for Sangria right away. From there on, the service slowed to a crawl. It took over five minutes before the Sangria was served and after that we were served our water. A few minutes later we were finally brought our menus. That is how our whole meal progressed. Very slow between courses. Very slow getting the check. Very slow paying the bill. The restaurant was very light and other tables were getting faster service, so I don't know why our service was so slow. That being said, there are many positives to be said. First off, the dining room is very lovely. It is like dining inside someone's private home. Warm and intimate. The food was absolutely delicious. Our group dined on sirloin steak, pork chops, salmon, and three orders of paella. The only negative was that the salmon was a little dry. Even though the service was slow, I guess on the positive side you could say we certainly were not rushed. Overall, it was a very pleasant dining experience.

My loss that I had driven by the small sign at least twice a year for 15 years and never once drove up to eat at this special spot. Now that I have had a most delicious dinner there, I know I will be back. There was not one wrong note from appetizers, tapas, main course, dessert, wine and coffee. Everything was fresh, really, really deliciously flavorful! I think it is a husband/wife team, and they have been running their restaurant for 33 years. Walking in, it is like being magically transported to a cozy, European country home, replete with wood-burning fireplace.
