My daughter and I stayed at the Cottonwood for two nights. We loved the quietness of the location and the fact that there was a back door in the room so we could walk outside and sit. The location to the attractions we saw was great.The beds were comfortable and the room clean. The negatives of the room were that there was an undefinable odor that we couldn't seem to locate the source of, the sink leaked around the bowl and the hot and cold water in the bathtub were backwards. We were not informed about the sink or tub situations when given our room.

Was told on check in that the property's water did not "pass inspection" and was not safe to drink. Free bottled purified water was the only compensation. The room was huge but had very little furniture -- which felt odd. Plenty of room for a king bed with space to spare, but only had a queen. Old jacuzzi-style tub in the corner of the room. (Does anyone use those these days?) The toilet ran and was stained and the pipe to which the shower head was attached was not firmly in the wall. Light fixture missing at door, just bulbs on the ceiling. It was clean, but....needs some updating. They do allow dogs and there aren't many places to stay in the area so it is actually kind of popular.

We stayed in this motel last week and everything was just fine since we are not picky people but the smell was just awful. It must have been in their carpet. Other than that a very spacious room with a jacuzzi tub in it too. The smell was obvious after leaving the room and then returning to it. Very nice and private too. Hopefully they can tend to this problem. During our stay there were also septic issues but I believe they were fixing them fast.
