Jetblue should be avoided.
When booking be aware that if you book as we did through a third party, (Love Holidays) you will appear to be choosing seat numbers, however on checking with jetblue no seats have been allocated.
Seats will only be available to choose 24hrs before the flight, unless your pay a rather high premium, which if you are a family group of 6 with a child is the only way to assure being seated together, and only then in rows of 3 separated by 4 rows as there is little choice even when paying.
As stated we had paid for our flight but had to pay a futher £835 for 2 sets of seperated rows of 3 seats together. Despite paying an exorbitant amount of money (On the outward bound flight 3 of the seats were at the emergency giving very little leg room and no room for the small hand luggage that is allowed placed under the seat in front.
The included meals, a new chilled menu with little choice, cold frittata, carrot cake, chopped fruit, overnight oats, yogurt, salad all overly seasoned with herbs and spices is virtually inedible, certainly unpalatable for children, and is in fact very unappetising for adults, particularly If you are on an approximately 9 hour flight where you are already cold.
It would be better to be allowed to purchase warm food or not eat at all compared to how much waste there is with this unpalatable food.
The snacks which you can help your self to are utterly tasteless and judging by how few people help themselves an utter waste of time.
An utterly dismal beginning to what should have been the start of a holiday of a lifetime in New York .
Shame on you Jetblue
